Features o Size Medium / Large o Fabric printed or plain cotton fabric o Fully lined o Inside and outside pockets o Final proportions: Medium size 6 ½ x 4 ½ x 3 Large size 8 ½ x 4 ½ x 3 o Supplies Notes o Seam allowance ¼, except where noted otherwise o Follow the printing instructions to obtain accurate patterns o Use the same sewing instructions for both sizes Pattern printing instructions 1. Open the pdf file containing the pattern for the purse. 2. Print it on a regular printer using letter format paper, without margins. 3. Place the pages on a plain surface (table, floor) using the number & letter marking on the left top edge of the page. 4. Match edges and join the pages with a scotch tape where needed in order to obtain a full size detail.

5. Cut the pieces on the marked edges in order to obtain final patterns. Sewing instructions Cover and lining: 1. Cut the pieces of cover and lining from the chosen fabric using the paper patterns. Use the notes on the patterns to place them properly on the fabric.

2. Stack together one cover and one lining piece on the right sides, matching edges. 3. Stitch along top edge. 4. Repeat the same steps for the remaining cover and lining pieces, resulting into 2 cover/lining details of the purse. 5. Open and press seam allowance toward the lining. 6. Make a stitch on the lining, on right side, next to the seam, stitching through seam allowance below. Do that for each cover/lining detail. This seam will be the top edge of the purse. Pockets: 1. Choose the number of pockets you are going to use (up to 4) and cut the fabric using the paper patterns. 2. Fold pocket pieces in half, right sides together, matching the long edges. 3. Stitch the long edge in order to create a tube. 4. Turn the right sides out and press the pocket pieces. 5. Topstitch each piece near the top edge. 6. Place the pocket pieces on the right side of the cover and lining, at 3 / 8 from corner notches, using the guide line on the pattern. 7. Center each pocket so it will extend ½ paste the both edges of cover/ lining. 8. Stitch along the bottom edge of each pocket.

9. Mark pocket separations as shown on the pattern or as desired. 10. Stitch pocket separations through all layers. 11. Match and pin top corners of all pockets with the cover/lining detail 12. Stitch on the wrong side of cover/lining at 1 / 8 from the side edges to secure each pocket Assembling: 1. Place two halves of the purse right sides together matching all edges, so the cover and lining parts are lined up.

2. Stitch the bottom seam on the cover. 3. Press seam allowance opened and stitch through each one of them next to seam. 4. Match the edges and stitch the side seams from cover to lining 5. Trim excess pocket fabric from seam allowance and press the side seam allowance opened. 6. Match side seam to bottom seam of the cover and stitch both corners.

7. Stitch 1 ½ from each end of bottom seam of the lining, leaving an opening in the center. 8. Match side seam to bottom seam of the lining and stitch both corners. 9. Turn the purse right side out through the opening. 10. Turn in the allowances of the opening and stitch it closed by hand or machine. 11. Tuck the lining into cover. 12. Press the purse organizer to give it a final touch.
