01 CORPORATE OVERVIEW
01 1.1 AN OVERVIEW Overview Shivalik Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd., originally registered in UP as a co-operative bank, was granted the license to conduct banking operations in Saharanpur district by Reserve Bank of India in September, 1997. The bank commenced operations in September, 1998. Since then, Shivalik Bank has come a long way, expanding its footprint in multiple states. The Bank successfully acquired a weak co-operative bank in Madhya Pradesh in 2010. As a result, it was deregistered from UP Co-operative Societies Act, 1965 and was re-registered under the Multistate Co-operative Societies Act, 2002, thereby becoming the first Multi-state Urban Cooperative Bank of Uttar Pradesh. Presently, the Bank s area of operation extends to Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and parts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttrakhand. Headquarter Strengths The Bank is registered in Saharanpur, with the Head-office split between Saharanpur and Noida. The Bank presently has 24 branches, with 7 more in pipeline, and 12 business correspondent offices spread over the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Being the first and largest multi-state co-operative bank of Uttar Pradesh, Shivalik Bank offers an unparalleled range of technologies which places banking at the fingertips of their consumers. 03 3.1 FINANCIAL INCLUSION Shivalik Mercantile Co-operative Bank is a pioneer in the co-operative sector focusing on financial inclusion. The bank started micro-finance to help self-help groups (SHGs). All members of the groups are women, belonging to the marginalized sector. Bank has connected more than 7000 SHGs comprising approximately 95,000 individuals to its micro-finance program.

05 CHAIRMAN Education and Qualification Graduate of Mechanical Engineering from IIT - BHU Total Experience 50+ Years Shri Yashvir Kumar Gupta Chairman Overall Experience He has been with Bank since inception. Started the Bank after troubled by the poor quality of customer service in nationalized banks. He set up the bank in 1998 to provide a rich delightful banking experience to all classes. Before joining Shivalik, he left his job from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to join the family business of agriculture and agri-trading. He was keen on introducing latest technology and scientific know how into traditional agricultural methods. Today his expertise in agriculture is well acknowledge and his orchard is rated amongst the best in the region. He is actively been participating in various social and charitable activities in around the area. He has been instrumental in setting up a school for girls and police station and various other public service setups in his native village.

He is handling the work related to Investment. Before joining the bank, he has worked in multiple organizations and government of UP. He was also involved with one World bank financed project as a Sr. Manager Procurement where he headed the Procurement Department and managed procurement of goods, civil works and selection and employment of consultants for the project ensuring the compliance for procurement laid by IBRD. He has worked as a research officer for externally aided project department, Govt. of UP. He has also worked in UP Bhumi Sudhar Nigam (A govt. of UP Enterprise) as a Procurement Manager, UP Instruments Ltd. as an accounts officer, Auto Tractors Ltd. as an Asst. accounts officer, was responsible for the maintenance of proper books of accounts and finalization of annual accounts.

From University of Delhi Total Experience 17+ Years Gaurav Mittal General Manager Overall Experience Gaurav Mittal has been working with the bank since 2013. He is responsible for P&L Saharanpur and NCR clusters, HR and Marketing functions. He has worked in Worlds Windows Group, as a DGM Strategy. As a part of the strategy team, working with the Group Chairman, his role was to identify new business opportunities, M&A targets and streamline existing business operations. He has also worked in SKIL Infrastructure where he was responsible for setting up and launching Strathclyde Business School (SBS) India campus at Greater NOIDA. He was Research Manager in CEB (now Gartner) and managed a team of research associates working on research reports in Retail, Corporate, and Private Banking for senior executives at leading financial institutions in US, Europe & Asia.
05 GENERAL MANAGER Education and Qualification Total Experience He is Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Bachelors in Electronics and Communications Engineering from University of Leeds, United Kingdom 10+ Years Harsh Mittal General Manager Overall Experience Harsh Mittal has been working with the bank since April 2016. He is responsible for Risk Management, Audit and Compliance functions along with the P&L responsibility for the MP cluster and non interest income. Before joining the bank, he was working in Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd, London as a Head of Group Performance Management in their Group Finance team. He was Head of Transaction Analysis in Swiss Re Life Capital (a subsidiary of Swiss Re Group), London where his main responsibility was to support all M&A and valuation activity. He was Assistant Manager in KPMG LLP UK where he was involved in the audit and transaction services practice as a part of the financial services segment.
