The HSI VIS/NIR camera system is an integrated laboratory device for the combined color and chemical analysis. The system uses our specialized analyzing software for the acquisition, processing and imaging of the data. The visible (VIS) and near infrared (NIR) spectral range and is recorded via the HIS camera. Both spectral ranges (VIS + NIR) are required for the full color and chemical data extraction. The VIS range provides information for the color image generation. The NIR range contains information on the chemical components in human or animal tissue, such as hemoglobin, water, fat and other tissue constituents. The NIR light penetrates the tissue more deeply. Herbal tissue typically has the following components: chlorophyll, starch, water, sugar. The HSI VIS/NIR cameras system for microscopes is based a scanning imaging spectrometer unit (patent pending) instead of a photometric multispectral filter camera. Applying this technology enables the full chemometric data extraction based on the second spectral derivative. Depending on the camera s parameterization, the spectral sequences (3D data cubes) are scanned within seconds and the chemical results are displayed immediately after the scanning process. The system records the data cubes without any external moving parts. DIASPECTIVE VISION Disclaimer: specifications are subject to change without prior notice. 2
With hyperspectral imaging (HSI) technology three dimensional (X [spatial], Y [spatial], λ [spectral]) data cubes are acquired. Based on the data cubes, different images can be created and chemical information can be extracted. The standard software for chemical color imaging is developed specifically for the VIS/NIR camera. That way you can start with your chemical imaging work immediately. The System offers a direct way to expand your VIS/NIR chemical analysis into a VIS/NIR chemical imaging analysis with spatial resolution.
