Copyright Information I have created all of my quilt patterns to be used as a FREE resource to other quilters. I am not making a profit on them and explicitly prohibit others from doing so. That being said, all you wonderful quilters please use them to create quilts for yourself and others. You may sell any quilts you make for a profit (no mass production). You may exhibit your quilts. I would love it if you all can use the patterns as a resource to help others, gifts for others who are sick or in need, our military, charities and fundraisers of any kind. You may use the patterns to teach classes as long as you provide the patterns free of charge to your students. Quilt store owners - If you would like to reproduce any of the patterns and provide them free of charge to your customers, please email me first. Please respect the work I have done in creating these patterns and make sure proper credit is given if you are reproducing and sharing the patterns with others. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Cindy Carter carterquilter@gmail.com Getting Started This is a scrappy quilt with a very definite fall theme. Solids, batiks, marbles and tone on tone work great. Prints with a smaller fall leaf theme are excellent. Novelty prints and larger prints will not work. I am recommending a darker colored background color for this fall quilt. This can be gold, red, purple, darker green, brown, orange or any other color that says fall to you. You have the option to make the quilt easier or harder by substituting 4 HSTs with 4 squares in one section of the quilt. They measure 4.5 unfinished. Choose your quilt size: Lap - 65" by 65" Twin - 74" by 92" Full/Queen - 92" by 92" Free Pattern 2

Fabric Requirements: Lap - (12) Fat 8ths (9 by 22 ) assorted fall fabrics or 1 ½ yards of one fabric for the leaves. (31)10.5 by 6 rectangles of assorted fall fabrics or 1 ½ yards of one fabric if you are making 4.5 HSTs for the quilt center. If you are using fat 8ths you need (16). OR (61)4.5 squares assorted fall fabrics or 1 yard of one fabric if you are making squares for the quilt center. If you are using fat 8ths you need (8). 1 ½ yards background fabric. 1 ½ yards black fabric. If you are making a squares center cut (31) 4.5 squares of black fabric and (31) 4.5 squares background fabric. Twin - (16) Fat 8ths (9 by 22 ) assorted fall fabrics or 2 yards of one fabric for the leaves in the border. (56) 10.5 by 6 rectangles of assorted fall fabrics or 2 ½ yards of one fabric if you are making HSTs for the quilt center. If you are using fat 8ths you need (28). OR (112) 4.5 squares assorted fall fabrics or 1 ¾ yards of one fabric for the quilt center if you are making squares. If you are using fat 8ths you need (14). 3 yards background fabric. 2 yards black fabric. If you are making a squares center cut (56) 4.5 squares background fabric and (56) 4.5 squares black fabric. Free Pattern 3

Full - (18) Fat 8ths (9 by 22 ) assorted fall fabrics or 2 ¼ yards of one fabric for the leaves in the border. (73) 10.5 by 6 rectangles of assorted fall fabrics or 3 ½ yards of one fabric if you are making HSTs for the quilt center. If you are using fat 8ths you need (37). OR (145) 4.5 squares assorted fall fabrics or 2 ¼ yards of one fabric for the quilt center if you are making squares. If you are using fat 8ths you need (19). 3 ¼ yards background fabric. 3 yards black fabric. If you are making a squares center cut (73) 4.5 squares background fabric and (73) 4.5 squares black fabric. My fabric requirements are based on using the free templates for my HSTs from http://www.quilt.com/blocks/trianglepapers/triangles.html. If you are using another method for your HSTs you may need to make some adjustments. Some of the fabrics I am auditioning. Free Pattern 4
