September Family Project Parents, This month s family project invites your child to create a paper copy of themselves. Please help your child turn this blank person into a colorful version of themselves. Some ideas for this project are: Cut clothes out of fabric Glue yarn for hair, use wiggly eyes or other objects on to add texture Use paint, markers or crayons to create a face and clothes Create a collage of their favorite things Any of your own ideas These monthly family projects are meant to create a fun bonding time between you and your child. Save a Turkey! Disguise Him! November Family Project Parents, Your November family project is to disguise this turkey. Please cut out the turkey and help your child disguise the turkey as a different animal or character in hopes of avoiding being caught for Thanksgiving dinner! Possible ideas are a sheep, cat, Superman, Elvis, a baseball player the options are endless! Feel free to jazz up your turkey with items around your home such as yarn, fabric, beads, leaves, macaroni or anything else you find! After you decorate your disguised turkey, please write a short story explaining how the turkey will trick us into not having them for Thanksgiving dinner. (Example story: My name is Dino. I have scaly skin that won t taste good for Thanksgiving dinner. I am a nice dinosaur who would make a great pet!) Please return your family project by November.
