Assembly Instructions 1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts listed. 2. Attach the Floor Lever (part P) to the bottom of the Bottom Frame (part C) into the threaded inserts, as shown in detail #1A. 3. Locate the Back Panel (part E) and set back face down on a scratch free surface, then place the Top, Shelf and Bottom Frames (part A, B & C) on it, make sure the holes of the bracket aligned with the threaded inserts of the Back Panel, as shown in detail #1. 4. Proceed to tighten the three Frames and Back Panel (part E) with the 5/8" Red Bolts (part K1) through the Lock Washer and Flat Washer (part O & L) through the hole of bracket into the threaded insert, see detail #2. Note: With the help of the Level Plate (part N), make sure all the Frames are vertical to the Back Panel (part E), by placing the plate at the corners where the Frames are attached and checking the level. Page # 5

Attach the Wood Front Panel (part D) to the Top Frame and Bottom Frame (part A & C) with six 1 Blue Bolts (parts K2) through the Lock Washers and Flat Washers (part O & L) through the holes into the threaded inserts on the Wood Front Panel, as shown in detail #3. 6. Proceed to fasten the Back Panel (part E) to the set of frames with the 1-3/8 Yellow Bolts (parts K3) through the Lock Washers and Flat Washers (part O & L) through the predrilled hole of the Back Panel into the frame in place, a total of ten, as shown in detail #4. Turn the unit upright and attached the Front Left Support (part H) with the 5/8 Red Bolts (parts K1) through the Lock Washers and Flat Washers (part O & L) through the hole of Support into the threaded inserts located on the Top Frame (part A) and the other end into Wood Front Panel (part D),see detail #5. 8. Repeat the last step to the Front Right Support (part H1). 9. Proceed to attach the Back Left and Right Support (part I & I1) to the Top Frame and Back Panel (part A & E) with the 5/8 Red Bolts (parts K1) through the Lock Washers and Flat Washers (part O & L) in place, as shown in detail #5A. 10. Repeat last step to attach the other Back Left and Right Support (part I & I1) to the Shelf Frame and Back Panel (part B & E), as shown in detail #5A. 11. Now put the Glass Supports (part M) on top of the Shelf and Bottom Frame (part B & C) in place, five pieces per set. As shown in detail #6. 12. Place the Glass Shelf (part G) in place as shown in detail #6. 13. Proceed to secure Glass Shelves (part G) with the Glass Pin (part J) through the top hole of the Glass Shelf into the bracket, as shown in detail #6A. Note: Make sure that the Glass sits correctly and the Glass Pins go all the way into the bracket to prevent the glass shelf from falling and getting damage. Also Page # 7

make sure that the cut edge of the glass will point toward the back side of the unit. 14. Attach Top Glass (part F) to the assembled frame with five 5/8 Red Bolts (part K1) through the Lock Washers and Flat Washers (part O & L) through the bracket of Top Frame (part A), into the metal plate pre-attached under the Top Glass in place, as shown in detail #7. Assembly Instructions 15. In case of uneven floor, you will find the leveler at the bottom of the Bottom Frame (part C). Use your hand to turn the leveler and adjust the height of the unit, until the unit is level. As shown in detail #8. Option #1: As a TV Stand You can use this unit as a TV Stand to place your TV or Stereo components. Option #2: TV CONSOLE with PLASMA FLOATER Note: The Plasma Floater was designed to mount most 60 LCD/PLASMA TV s weighing up to 135 pounds, will allow you to mount your TV flat or at a fixed 5- degree tilt. If you do not understand these directions, or have any doubts about the safety of the installation, please call a qualified contractor or contact Whalen Furniture at 1-866-942-5362 we can assist you or give you directions, if you have any defective parts please do not use, improper installation may result on damage or injury. The wall mounting hardware is not for steel stud walls if you are not certain about the nature of your wall, consult an installation contractor. If the hardware you required is not included please consult your hardware store. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN THE BOLTS SO YOU CAN ADJUST THE HEIGHT THAT YOU WILL REQUIRE FROM THE THREE AVAILABLE ONES. 16. Insert the Plasma Floater Arm (part R) into the Plasma Floater Base (S) as shown in detail #9. S Page # 9

Attach the Plasma Floater Base (part S) to the back of the TV Console with four 3 Green Bolts (part K4) through the Small Washer (part L) through the bottom holes of base into the bottom inserts of the Console, as shown in detail # 10. 18. Also you need to secure the Base to the Console with four 5/8 Red Bolts (part K1) through the Small Washers (part L) through the middle holes in the Base into the threaded inserts on the Console. See detail #10. 19. The Plasma Floater has 3 different setting holes. Once you have determined height you require for your Plasma / LCD TV, tighten the four 5/8 Red Bolts (part K1) through the Small Washer (part L) into the side holes of the Base, as shown in detail #11. 20. Next you need to screw two 5/8 Red Bolts (part K1) into the Base securely to fix your desired height in place. See detail #11. Page # 10

NOW GO BACK AND TIGHTEN ALL BOLTS WITH THE 4mm ALLEN WRENCH Assembly Instructions 21. Attach the Mounting Bracket (part AZ) to the Plasma Floater Panel with four 7/8 White Bolts (part K5) through the Large Washer (part LL) through the Bracket, through the holes in the Plasma Floater Panel through another Large Washer into the Nut (part Q); make sure this are secure to prevent the TV from falling. See detail #12. Note: Use the 5mm Allen Wrench and Open Wrench. Always make sure that the TV is unplugged before threading any bolt into the back panel! DO NOT LAY THE TELEVISION FACE DOWN ON THE GLASS Thread bolts carefully with your hand into your TV back and determine which of the provided bolts has the correct diameter if you are unable to find the correct one consult a local hardware store. 22. To attach the Monitor Brackets, lean the TV up against a wall or other solid surface, do not place the TV down on the glass this may cause permanent damage. Page # 11

23. Place the Monitor Brackets (part CZ) vertically as close to the center of the TV as possible, now attach the brackets with the Hardware required, do not skip or change any hardware follow details 13,14 or 15 depending on the type of Plasma TV you have. Assembly Instructions 24. You can mount your TV in either of two positions: Flat or at 5-degree downward tilt. To mount the television flat to the Mounting Bracket (AZ) use the Monitor Brackets (part CZ). To mount the TV in the 5 degree tilt position you must first add two Gussets (part DZ) to each Monitor Bracket with two 2 Bolts (part TZ) and two Nuts (part SZ), as shown in detail # 16. Note: Use Open Wrench (part YZ) 25. To hang the TV on the Mounting Bracket, first hook the Monitor Brackets over the top of the Mounting Brackets rotate in under the bottom of the Mounting Bracket, as shown in detail #16A for the flat mount option and detail #16B with the 5 degree tilt option. 26. Once the TV is in place, insert the Safety Bar (BZ) into the slots in the bottom of the Monitor Brackets so that is sits behind the bottom tab on the Mounting Bracket as shown in detail #16C. The bend should face toward the Plasma Floater. Once the bar passes out the other side of the Mounting Bracket a padlock can be added to the hole in the Safety Bar for additional security. Page # 13

Option #3: MOUNTING BRACKET on WOOD STUD WALL 27. In case you want to hang your Plasma TV on the wall, you can follow these steps. 28. The Mounting Bracket must be mounted to two Wood Studs at least 12 apart, using a high quality stud sensor locate two adjacent studs, verify with a nail if correct. 29. Pre-drill a 2 1/2" deep hole at the desired height in each stud using a 3/16 drill bit, make sure that the holes are center area of the studs and level with each other. Use the Mounting Bracket (part AZ) as a template to mark the location of the second hole in each stud and drill another set of holes 2 1/2" deep with the 3/16 drill bit in the marked location. 30. Now attach the Mounting Bracket to the Wall using the four Lag Bolts (part WZ) through the Lag Bolt Washer (part NZ) through the Mounting Bracket into the holes in the wall. Make sure the Bracket is oriented so the flat surface in the center of the plate is against the wall and that a set of Lag Bolts is on each side of the two large holes in the center as shown in detail #17. MOUNTING BRACKET on BRICK, SOLID CONCRETE OR BLOCK 31. Use the Mounting Bracket (part AZ) as a template to mark six holes location in the wall. The outer holes must fall to the left and right of the two large holes in the middle of the plate, three in the top row and three in the bottom row of slots. 32. Make sure that the holes are level and there is at least 6 between any two holes, pre-drill these holes with a 1/2 masonry bit to at least 2.5 in depth. 33. Now insert a Concrete Anchor (part XZ) into each of these holes; make sure the anchor is seated completely flush with the concrete surface even if there is a layer of drywall of other material in front. 34. Now attach the Mounting Bracket to the Wall using six Lag Bolts (part WZ) through the Lag Bolt Washer (part NZ) through the Mounting Bracket into the holes in the wall. Make sure the Bracket is oriented so the flat surface in the center of the plate is against the wall and that a set of Lag Bolts is on each side of the two large holes in the center as shown in detail #17, only in this case will have three Bolts per side. 35. Repeat steps 23 to 26 to attach the Plasma TV onto the Mounting Bracket. TIPPING RESTRAINT HARDWARE Note: We have included two Tipping Restraint Hardware bags for this Unit. When properly installed, this restraint can provide protection against the unexpected tipping of the Unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. We strongly recommend mounting this hardware to a wall stud and your Unit when installing. Please carefully read the instructions printed on the bag. Note: You must install the Tipping Restraint Hardware with the unit in use to prevent any accidents or damage to the unit.
