[3] [4] [5] [6] Hey there! Happy Friday!!!! I know many of you have been requesting new dresser plans. I'm pretty excited today to help you out with that today! Page 3 of 18

This dresser was built by my friend Elisha from Pneumatic Addict Furniture [7]: "I was browsing through the Pottery Barn Kids website and instantly fell in love with the 'Jordan' dresser. I clicked the description and instantly fell out of love when I read not only was it built from MDF, but also cost $900. I knew I could build something better, from solid wood, and at a fraction of the price." For less than $150, Elisha was able to build this dresser - and no MDF!!! Elisha's been kind enough to not only do the build on this project, but to put together an awesome building post, full of photos and tips and tricks - go check her post out right now. [7] And of course, plans follow! Have a great weekend! Ana Summary: Diy modern dresser with wood drawers. Inspired by pottery barn kids Jordan dresser. It is also advisable to review the Getting Started Section. Take all necessary precautions to build safely and smartly. Work on a clean level surface, free of imperfections or debris. Always use straight boards. Check for square after each step. Always predrill holes before attaching with screws. Use glue with finish nails for a stronger hold. Wipe excess glue off bare wood for stained projects, as dried glue will not take stain. Be safe, have fun, and ask for help if you need it. Good luck! Page 8 of 18
[24] Build two of the sides by attaching side panels to legs. Page 9 of 18
[25] Trim outside bottom of side panels with 1x2. Use glue and 1-1/4" nails. Tip for perfectionist - you could attach the 1x2 to the legs first with pocket holes, and then add the panel, screwing on from the back with 1-1/4" screws. Page 10 of 18
[26] If you want to add the drawer slides now, sometimes thats easier. You can also just mark the insides for drawer slides and install in later steps. Page 11 of 18
[27] Attach top front trim to top panel. Attach bottom pieces to sides, this time with pocket hole jig set for 1-1/2" thickness and using 2-1/2" long pocket hole screws. Page 12 of 18
[28] Build drawers to fit your openings and drawer slides. Drawers shown are for drawer slides that require total of 1" clearance (1/2" on each side). Measure your openings and read instructions included with drawer slides. Place pocket holes on outsides - will be covered up by drawer face in later steps. Page 13 of 18
[29] Install drawers inset 3/4" from outside to allow for drawer faces. Page 14 of 18
[30] Attach center supports to keep dresser from pulling apart at center. Page 15 of 18
[31] Attach drawer faces over drawer boxes, with approximately 1/8" gap around all sides. Nail on with 1-1/4" nails and glue. Then pull drawers out and screw from inside with 1-1/4" screws (you can use pocket hole screws). Finishing InstructionsPreparation Instructions: Fill all holes with wood filler and let dry. Apply additional coats of wood filler as needed. When wood filler is completely dry, sand the project in the direction of the wood grain with 120 grit sandpaper. Vacuum sanded project to remove sanding residue. Remove all sanding residue on work surfaces as well. Wipe project clean with damp cloth. It is always recommended to apply a test coat on a hidden area or scrap piece to ensure color evenness and adhesion. Use primer or wood conditioner as needed. Page 16 of 18
