See what you need to see, and see it anywhere. Fujifilm Computed Radiography (FCR) that makes the best use of Fujifilm s unique image processing technology has become even more convenient. In addition to the clear and high-resolution displaying of images and simple operation, the inspection images can be shared with other users over the network via the client server. As a result, a highly accurate inspection can be performed from any location. What is FCR? FCR is a digitalized X-ray inspection system that uses imaging plates (IP) as the inspection media in place of the conventional screen and X-ray film. The inspection information accumulated on the IP is directly converted to digital data. As a result of digitization, a high-resolution and stable image can be displayed thus supporting an accurate inspection. A rich gradation attained by the use of a wide gray-level dynamic range. A high-quality image automatically displayed by Fujifilm s proprietary EDR (Exposure Data Recognizer) processing technology. A clear image attained by the use of a high-resolution display. An optimum image that fits the purpose of the inspection can be obtained. The image is processed digitally for distribution over the network. The high-resolution image can be stored on DVD-R or CD-R and be accessed speedily. The IP is more sensitive to radiation than the conventional X-ray film leading to less dosage of radiation at filming. The developing process does not require a dark-room environment and does not use special processing liquids nor water. The IP can be repeatedly used and is therefore very economical.
Multi Functions for Various Inspections Apply settings to select a single image or a series of images for which the current settings will apply. GA/GS adjust the Fujifilm-unique parameters GA (contrast) and GS (brightness) from this scale. Zoom display in full display size with control icons, in its original resolution, in true scale, or in full screen without any control icons. Rotate and invert invert the black and white display, rotate an image, or horizontally/vertically mirror an image. Utilities switch to monitoring mode where you can automatically display an incoming image, and then activate the appropriate Fujifilm Image Processing Tool for the image. Matrix Layout partition the screen into multiple partitions (maximum of 36). Annotations add annotation text and symbols (line, box, ellipse, arrow, and free objects) to an image and specify their color. You can also further process an annotation by clicking on it and then clicking the Selector Mode button. A right click will display more annotation options. Measurements measure the length, angle, area, or thickness of an image. It also enables you to display the linear density profile or the N.SNR. Display show/hide image information, display the user-defined annotations, or show/hide a ruler on an image. Geometric Calibration correct the geometric scale by entering the correct scaling factor into the data box and by clicking the adjustment button. FCR System Workflow 1 READING 2 INSPECTION 3 OUTPUTTING 4 NETWORKING Client Server Input the necessary information from the Exposure menu using the mouse and keyboard. Then read the X-ray information recorded on the imaging plate (IP) using the IP reader. The read image is automatically converted to an optimum image, and is displayed on the Viewer. The Software for DynamIx contains multi-functions that support the inspection process in full capacity. The image is stored in the HDD which then can be copied to a DVD-R or CD-R for backup or archiving purposes. The Software for DynamIx includes an easy-to-use database system for storing all the read images. Local network users can retrieve and share a common image stored in this database by using the search function.
Simple Operation for Ease of Use INSPECTION Various Functions Can Be Used with Ease All functions can be used with easy operation thus enabling a highly accurate inspection. Since the stored images are displayed together with their thumbnails, you can easily and speedily retrieve an image by simply clicking on them. EDR (Exposure Data Recognizer) Feature The EDR feature automatically enhances an image to an optimum one by adjusting the brightness and contrast. Fujifilm s original imaging technology offers a stable and high-quality image. Multi-inspection Functions The Software for DynamIx has various imaging, measurement, and screen partitioning functions that are easy to operate. Partially Zoomed Image Length and Thickness Measured Image Annotated Image Before After High-quality images can be realized even with less X-ray exposure dose since the FCR system has a wide dynamic range. Optimum Exposure Time (45sec.) Shortented Exposure Time (15sec.) Contrast Adjusted Image Black/White Reversed Image Screen Partitioned Image NETWORKING OUTPUTTING IMAGE SHARING The Operation and Retrieval of Images Made More Convenient Easy Recording and Storing of Images Distribution of Images Image can be accessed over the network via the client server. High confidentiality of information can be maintained by the use of the DICOM communication protocol on the client server. Images stored in an SQL-compliant database can be retrieved according to the purpose of the inspection or research by simply clicking on their respective thumbnail. Client Server Quality Assurance Dept. Designing Dept. Storing the image read from the CR reader to the server PC. The image can be stored and managed with ease. File Exporting Archiving Printing Images and a simplified viewer software are bundled on a CD-R or DVD-R and distributed to multiple users. Using this viewer software, users can view DICOM images on their PCs. Example Inspection Engineer CD-R User Network Configuration Sample Images uploaded from factories and inspection institutions can be shared in real time with other users over the network via the client server. Accurate inspection is realized as a result of varied evaluations from multiple users. Factory Network Overseas Subsidiaries Processing the image digitally on the PC. Output as a DICOM, JPEG, BMP, or TIFF file. Stored on DVD-R in high-resolution and speedily retrieved from the image database. Output as a DICOM file. The image can be output on various printers.
