Vol. 16, No. 8 Color Posters and Finishing January 2011 Throughout this document, you will find many options for banner stands that Printing & Copy Services now offer. A spreadsheet with all stand options and accessories can be found inside the back page. Knowing that a banner stand is no good without a banner, we also offer large-format color inkjet banner and poster printing at several of our locations. Our printers use large color gamut archival inks. Posters printed on our standard paper media that are laminated, and posters printed on our vinyl and certain specialty media, may be used outdoors. Printing offers several media types and sizes up to 63" wide for largeformat posters. See the back page for details. We can print posters on many cut-sheet medias as well. Recommended maximum thickness for cut-sheet medias is 19 mil or 0.5 mm. We can laminate posters up to 40" wide. Our lamination is double sided and we recommend a halfinch border beyond the edge of the poster. Total lamination thickness is ~10 mil and we offer both gloss and matte. If your poster needs to hang for a long period, we can apply grommets for you. Our grommets are 3/4" brass and applied with a reinforcement strip. We also offer 42" and 48" poster tubes to protect, carry, and ship your posters. In addition, we offer an industrial-grade, high-quality vinyl wrap for our 42" tubes with carrying straps and Velcro closure. Poster templates based on the Iowa State University visual identity program are available at http://www. print.iastate.edu/postertemplates. shtml in PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator formats. We charge for posters by the square foot. There are three rates depending on media type, $4.40, $5.00, and $5.40. See the back page for details. ISU Printing & Copy Services also offers poster mounting onto white or black foam core board. Lamination is optional.
Roll Up Professional The most flexible of the Roll Ups is the Roll Up Professional. As with all Roll Up products, this uses window shade technology to retract the graphic for easy storage. It is easy to change the graphics in the Roll Up Professional and it also comes with a double-sided option. A great choice for events and promotional activities. Price for the single stand is $279.30 and $338.10 for the double stand. Vinyl banner price is $107.26 per side. Double-sided Option Banners on the Roll Up Professional can be changed with the touch of a button.
Roll Up Classic The Roll Up Classic is meant for more permanent displays. Graphics are changed out by removing screws to access the bottom roller. The Classic comes in five different width options and is a more economical Roll Up choice than the Professional. Stand prices range from $205.80 to $338.80 depending on size. Vinyl banner prices range from $82.29 to $176.77.
Roll Up Promotion The Roll Up Promotion is the most economical Roll Up choice. It has a simple design and comes in one size. Stand price is $112.00 and printed vinyl banner is $95.14.
4 Screen Classic The 4 Screen Classic system is the best banner system for very large displays or displays that may be added on to later. It comes in seven width and three height options. Two of the wider packages include two feet and two supporting rods. Also offered is a multiple 4 Screen connection kit for really big displays. Package prices range from $95.62 to $198.52. Printed vinyl banner prices range from $52.79 to $176.77.
Pole System The Pole System is a very popular easy-to-use system. It is composed of a single selfstanding expandable pole with cross support clips and two cross supports, or profiles that hold the banner. The profiles come in four different widths, two to a package, from 21-5/8 to 39-3/8 and are sold separately from the pole. The maximum banner height is 100 but the beauty of this system is that the bottom support clips can be positioned at different heights so the bottom of your banner can be above table level. The pole also comes with a double top support clip and two adjustable bottom support clips so the whole display can be double-sided. The pole system price is $109.20 and $136.50 with a carrying bag. Profile prices range from $21.00 to $33.60. We will calculate the vinyl banner cost based on the width and height of your poster design.
Spider Stand The Spider Stand is our lowestcost banner stand. It is composed of a metal stand with four elasticloaded arms like tent poles and a support leg. Vinyl banners attach to the four arms with grommets. The whole stand folds down for easy transportation. The price of the Spider Stand is $80.00 and $117.08 for the finished vinyl banner.
Brochure Stand With its exclusive design and ingenious construction, the Brochure Stand is an ideal way to display and transport your printed documents. Brochures can be preloaded. The folded stand can then be transported in a soft bag or hard case. Price of the stand with bag is $264.60 and $338.10 with hard case. The Brochure Stand folds up and down like an accordion.
