UBW stands for Ultra Wideband, a technology that allows for the wireless transmission of data in extremely shortduration pulses over a wide spectrum of frequencies. The SpectraPulse UWB wireless system transmits information at below-noise-floor levels in timed sequences that function as a code. In order to decode the pulses, the Digital Receiver Module must know exactly when to listen. This makes UWB inherently secure.

A single drm141 can support up to 14 Microphone Units (mtu s). Designed for permanent installation or portable use, the low-profile, unobtrusive drm141 can be flush mounted in a standard 3-gang electrical box or surface-mounted using the included enclosure. The drm141 is connected to the Audio Control Interface (aci707) via a single shielded Cat 5 type cable, which supplies power to the drm141 and is the digital signal path between the drm141 and up to two linked aci707 s for a capacity of fourteen microphone transmitters. The integral antenna array within a drm141 is directional, favoring the front of the unit. Under normal operating conditions, the antennas provide a coverage area greater than 75 feet (23 m) from the drm141. The drm141 is ruggedly constructed and features a removable bezel and surface mount enclosure that can be painted to match the room s décor. included accessories: 25' shielded Category 5 (CAT 5) cable with RJ45 connectors for use between aci707 and drm141, ferrite bead The SpectraPulse Audio Control Interface (aci707) serves as a control platform to set system functions and as the connection point between the Digital Receiver Module (drm141) and external audio equipment. It also provides contact closures for interfacing with other external equipment. Each aci707 supports up to seven microphone transmitter audio channels (outputs); two aci707 s can be linked to increase system capacity to 14 microphone transmitters. The aci707 provides seven individual audio outputs (one per microphone transmitter) that can be globally selected between mic- and line-level. Settings for the mtu101 touch buttons include push on/off, push-to-talk, push-to-mute and disable. For applications that require downstream control or for use with acoustic echo canceller (AEC) units, audio output can be set to operate independently from the contact closure and mtu101 push button. Front panel LED s for each channel indicate link status, mute, closure active, low battery, power, encryption enabled, and mic- or line-level output. 69 SpectraPulse ultra wideband (uwb) wireless system Boundary Microphone Charging/Encryption mtu101 Unit cei007 Interface sep128 System Encryption Package (software) The mtu101 Boundary Microphone Unit is equipped with a soft-touch switch that can be programmed for push-to-talk, push-tomute or toggle operation. The mtu101 also offers an on/off switch, LEDs indicating power/mute and link status, low-battery warning and more. Up to 14 Microphone Units can be used in a SpectraPulse system. Channel selection is accomplished by simply setting an address selector on each mtu101 to a different address without the need for frequency scanning, hunting or other frequency-coordination processes. The microphone capsule used in the mtu101 is a unidirectional condenser (half-cardioid with respect to the boundary surface) and incorporates Audio-Technica UniGuard technology for immunity from RF interference. The cei007 is a 7-bay charger for SpectraPulse mtu101 Boundary Microphone s. The upper-most bay of the cei007 also functions as an encryption station for SpectraPulse mtu101 Boundary Microphone s (in conjunction with optional SpectraPulse System Encryption Software). The charger is optimized to take advantage of advanced high-output NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) battery chemistry and incorporates intelligent sensing to prevent accidental charging of alkaline, other non-rechargeable or incompatible batteries. Automatic circuits monitor the batteries throughout the charging process and shut down the charger bay when the charging cycle is complete. Each cei007 has seven independent charging bays with charging indicators for each bay providing a visual reference to allow the user to see when charging is complete. Each cei007 includes an RS232 data/encryption port and designated encryption bay. When used with the optional sep128 System Encryption Package, the user can digitally encrypt the system. As always, our rock-solid 2000 Series offers frequency scanning, easy setup and 10 compatible channels. Both systems are available packaged with the BP892cW MicroSet omnidirectional headset.
