Lutheran High North Technology shanarussell@lutheranhighnorth.org www.lutheranhighnorth.org/technology Also known as: OMG I can t turn my homework in! What do I do? Overcoming Edmodo errors when turning in assignments You re probably familiar with one way to get your assignments from Notability to Edmodo, but what if something isn t working correctly? Here are a few things you can try to get your homework turned in on time. 1. Force Quit Apps The first thing that you can try anytime an app isn t working correctly is to force quit that app. To do that: From the Home screen, click the Home button twice. Tap and hold on the app. When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it. Double-click the Home button and try opening the app again. Try quitting Safari, Notability, Edmodo or any other apps you ve used recently
2. Log out of Edmodo and back in The next thing to try is to log back into edmodo.com from Safari AND the edmodo app, and then log back in. To log out from Safari, touch the Me button at the top right and then choose logout In the Edmodo app, touch logout on the bottom left and then confirm logout **Don t forget to log back in!
3. Restart your ipad Hold down the top button for several seconds If you re still having trouble, try restarting your ipad. Slide to power off After the Apple and spinning icon disappear, turn it back on with the top button and try submitting your homework again. 4. Submit your assignment in a different way If nothing has worked so far, chances are that there s nothing wrong with your ipad, but that Edmodo is having trouble uploading your assignment. Luckily, there are many different ways of accomplishing the same goal and using a different method may work. You can upload assignments directly from Notability to Edmodo, feed them through your Edmodo backpack, Google Docs, Dropbox, Email, or use a computer. 4a. Directly from Notability to Edmodo The easiest way to get files from Notability to Edmodo is to use the following steps. However, if this doesn t work or you get errors doing it this way, you can try using another method that I will explain later in this document. From Notability to Edmodo Backpack If you get an error trying to turn in your assignment straight from Notability, try saving it to your backpack first, and then turning it in. Your Edmodo backpack is a place to keep files in Edmodo. If you use it a lot, you can even create folders in your backpack to keep it organized. In Notability, touch the share button Now touch Open note In Now touch Open in Edmodo This time try Add to Backpack

Touch the share button Touch Google Drive Choose a folder if you want to keep your Google Drive organized Send to Google Drive If it asks you to sign in, use your LHN email address and password Touch accept
