NO TESTING WILL BE CARRIED OUT ON A VERBAL REQUEST. Requests for testing should be addressed to the Head of Department, Department of Textile & Clothing Technology, and should state clearly the tests to be carried out, and whether an interpretation of the results is necessary. (An additional charge may be levied for detailed interpretation of test results). Customers are requested to submit all samples along with the request letter to the Department office. No samples should be handed over direct to the laboratories. Samples should be adequate for the tests requested. Standard test results cannot be issued with inadequate samples, and the Laboratory will not guarantee any such results. The Department of Textile & Clothing Technology will not take responsibility for varying results from samples submitted to laboratories of other institutions. ing is usually carried out on a first-come-first-served basis. Whereas advance copies of test reports may be faxed to customers with good payment records, the Department will not take responsibility for uncertified copies of reports. TEST RESULTS WILL NOT BE ISSUED OVER THE TELEPHONE. This is in the best interests of both the customer and the Department. Material given for testing will not normally be returned, except on a written request by the customer. s are carried out according to international standards.
