Karpenter Technical Specifications All Karpenter furniture is made from the top range of 100% recycled teak wood, hand selected for the best colour and quality, and previously professionally kiln dried. The entire process from designs and samples through production is made in-house. The wood is first machine cut for added stability and durability. Then skilled craftspeople assemble, sand and finish each piece of furniture by hand. Very light cracks or splits could appear on top and side panels or legs at any time. This fact has to be considering as a consequence of the natural seasoning process of the wood, accordingly to the diverse environmental humidity conditions. Protective Coatings The top surfaces of furniture that may be exposed to water, food, drinks and so on are sealed with a non-toxic protective coating that does not change the colour of the wood. The outdoor lines are also sealed against rain and sun damage. Shelves All cabinet shelves are adjustable and removable. Hardware and Accessories Precision Italian and German products keep Karpenter's drawers gliding smoothly, while doors and drawers open with a soft touch, spring catch system.
