VE-TTLHX32 Hexoval Softbox 32 for Venture TTL 600 Ws Monolight INSTRUCTIONS
Introduction Thank you for choosing Impact. The Impact VE-TTLHX32 is a 32 hexoval softbox for the Venture TTL monolight. The textured silver interior delivers high-contrast light, and the included translucent white interior diffuser and diffuser cover offer control over the level of contrast. Its hexoval design enables photographers to control spillover while containing the light source so that the subject and background are easily separated. This softbox is ideal for the photographer on the go or on location. A permanent attachment ring and preinstalled tension rods save time for setup and breakdown. The softbox is light enough for handheld operation with the monolight s pistol grip, or can be used conventionally on a light stand. 2

Assembling the Softbox To attach the softbox to the Venture TTL 600, follow these steps: 1. Place the softbox down on a flat surface, and spread the tension rods. 2. Lock each rod into place by pressing down on base of the rod until the locking tab snaps into position on the ring. Tip: Work in pairs of rods directly opposite each other. 3. Once the rods are locked into position, separate the touch-fastener strips around the ring to widen the opening. 4. Remove the accessory locking knob on the Venture TTL monolight and set it aside. Remove all attachments from the front of the monolight except the glass cover. Note: Performing the following steps might be easier with the pistol grip attached to the monolight. 5. Loosen the locking knob on the attachment ring, and align the mounting pegs of the monolight with the slots on the ring. Insert the monolight into the ring. 6
Assembling the Softbox (continued) 6. Once inserted, turn the softbox so the accessory socket is aligned with the locking screw. Tighten the locking screw to secure the softbox to the monolight. To ensure a secure connection, make sure the locking knob screws completely into the accessory socket. 7. Close the softbox around the ring by reattaching the touch-fastener strips. Attaching the Interior Diffuser Attach each of the 6 touch-fastener pads of the interior diffuser to the touch-fastener strips located inside the softbox. Properly installed, the interior diffuser will stretch across the softbox in front of the flash head. Attaching the Diffuser Cover Stretch the diffuser over the front of the softbox, and fit each corner of the diffuser s seam over the corners of the softbox. 7
Disassembling the Softbox To remove the softbox from the Venture TTL monolight, follow these steps: 1. Remove the diffuser cover and interior diffuser from the softbox. 2. Unfasten the touch-fastener strip closest to the locking knob, and unscrew the locking knob so that it is free of the monolight. 3. Slightly turn the softbox so that the mounting pegs slide out of the slots on the attachment ring. 4. To collapse the softbox, place it down onto a flat surface. Gently press down on the base of each tension rod, and pull the locking tab away from the ring. 5. When all the tension rods have been unlocked, you can fold up the softbox for storage in the carrying sleeve. 8
