Production system Automation Bitron HVAC Systems uses the best automatic production lines to offer customers products with low failure rates and the highest quality. System Integration Our components and systems represent a combination of functions and performances, as well as quality and cost targets de ned together with our customers. Customer orientation is not only designing and manufacturing what clients already have, it is also designing and manufacturing what clients need and dream to have. We constantly look at applications in the eld to nd out what we could do more or better. Plastic Injection Plastics are widely used in the modern world and it is hard to imagine our life without them. The rst human made plastic part was invented by Alexander Parkes in 1855 and since that time plastics have jumped to the No. 1 material used, by weight, in the past century. With more than 300 injection presses in the Group and close to 100 only in the Collegno site, plastic injection molding is one of the many core competences of Bitron Group. We also have two departments for injection tools: one is in Elbi (Collegno) and the other one in China (in total, we make more than 350 injection tools per year). We use any kind of raw materials such as PPO, PA, PA66, ABS depending on the application. Our team of experts is used to tools such as Mold ow analysis and Tool FMEA, for instance. Quality The quality of the products and the processes are the central points of Bitron philosophy. Bitron HVAC Systems is continuously innovating in its production processes and constantly investing in high skilled people specially and regularly trained. The effective management of quality not only creates value for an organization and its stakeholders but also manages its exposure to risk and can make the difference between success and failure. The pursuit of excellence has always been a cornerstone of Bitron: for this reason, in fact, we are one of the signi cant supplier of components for the Automotive sector, in which the required quality standards are very high. Electronics Electronics is one of our core business: 30% of our turnover c o m e s f r o m E l e c t r o n i c s. For decades Bitron Group has d e v e l o p e d P C B s a n d u s e r interfaces for the Appliance as well as the Automotive Industry. Lately we entered the Energy Industry through Energy Meters sold to a big player in the Italian Market. In order to build on t h a t e x p e r i e n c e, w e h a v e developed our own boiler control for condensing and standard ef ciency boilers that enables us to better exploit the characteristics of our components and systems offering you the best compromise between reliability size and cost. The production volumes for controls coming from the White Goods Industry and from the different production sites (in Italy, Poland and China), allow Bitron to be an important Electronics supplier in the market every year. 9

Innovation and R&D Innovation and R&D are both crucial for Bitron since the company was founded. R&D is almost entirely conducted internally, although there are partnerships with Universities for speci c projects, especially in the Renewable Energy sector. Bitron Group has an high level of know-how in designing and developing HVAC solutions in order to ful ll all customer s requests. The presence in our team of proven valid electronics engineers, experts in ame control and boiler's management, represents a remarkable key resource for Research & Development activities. The Company is particularly skilled in designing systems and components, integrating several functions in one, in order to optimize design and reduce costs. Bitron dedicates every year 6 to 7% of its turnover to R&D activities as a mean to always anticipate OEM customer s needs. For instance, close to10% of the employees works in the R&D eld. R&D Quality Performances Reduced costs System integration System integration is one of the key points of Bitron industrial philosophy. The development of each component or system is the result of the integration between R&D, performances, quality and costs. Each component is deviced like a system, ready to be installed and developed in synergy with the customer. 12 Bitron Group industrial strategy allowed more exibility in the development and manufcaturing of components for OEMs and, at the same time, the possibility to propose more and more advanced new technological solutions.

Our main customers y The dictionary de nition of a customer one that purchases a commodity or service is certainly not in line with what we believe clients are for us.
