-MHz Bandwidth -kω Input Resistance Selectable Nominal Amplification of,, or No Frequency Compensation Required Designed to be Interchangeable With Fairchild ua7c and ua7m description The ua7 is a monolithic two-stage video amplifier with differential inputs and differential outputs. Internal series-shunt feedback provides wide bandwidth, low phase distortion, and excellent gain stability. Emitter-follower outputs enable the device to drive capacitive loads, and all stages are current-source biased to obtain high commonmode and supply-voltage rejection ratios. Fixed differential amplification of V/V, V/V, or V/ V may be selected without external components, or amplification may be adjusted from V/ V to V/ V by the use of a single external resistor connected between A and B. No external frequency-compensating components are required for any gain option. The device is particularly useful in magnetic-tape or disc-file systems using phase or NRZ encoding and in high-speed thin-film or plated-wire memories. Other applications include generalpurpose video and pulse amplifiers where wide bandwidth, low phase shift, and excellent gain stability are required. symbol ua7c...d OR N PACKAGE ua7m...j PACKAGE (TOP VIEW) IN NC GAIN ADJ A GAIN ADJ A V CC NC OUT The ua7c is characterized for operation from C to 7 C; the ua7m is characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of C to C. 6 7 9 NC No internal connection IN GAIN ADJ A GAIN ADJ A V CC OUT GAIN ADJ A GAIN ADJ A ua7m...u PACKAGE (TOP VIEW) IN IN GAIN ADJ B GAIN ADJ B 9 7 6 _ IN NC GAIN ADJ B GAIN ADJ B V CC NC OUT IN GAIN ADJ B GAIN ADJ B V CC OUT OUT OUT PRODUCTION DATA information is current as of publication date.
