Grand Final Teams Announced Special Award - Harry Naven Major Awards for Trojans The Second Grade Grand Final for the Trojans will commence at 1.15 pm. The First Grade Grand Final for the Trojans will commence at 3.00 pm. Our Club will be placing tents on the far side of the field for our supporters and there will also be seating available in the grandstand for the two main matches of the year. It s always a great week around the Trojan Rugby Club this time of year watching the enthusiasm and special bond that is created when a Club has the fortune to prepare for a Grand Final. This year it is even more special when the Trojans play both the
Celebrations for Trojans Junior Grand Finals Last weekend matches Breakers in Grand Final Support First Grade and Second Grade Grand Finals this weekend. The Trojan training has been exceptional with all players bonding together as one. Support for our Grand Final teams came from everywhere this week when our Trojan faithful prepared a Grand Final feast for our players. We have now completed everything we can as a Club to be ready for the Grand Finals. After the Grand Finals are played we will be celebrating the year at the Terrigal Rugby Club with a function starting from 6.00 pm. You are invited and welcome to attend. We are very proud of both teams having made the Grand Finals for the 2017 season. Terrigal Sharks in Rugby League Grand Final But remember, as Reg Delaney says, a great club is gracious in victory and humble in any defeat. We have no intentions of considering a defeat in our Grand Finals, however, these words ring true to the culture of the Trojan Club. The First and Second Grade teams to run on the field will be as follows: SPECIAL AWARD - HARRY NAVEN SPIRIT OF RUGBY AWARD Harry Naven has won the Spirit of Rugby Award for the Trojan Club. Harry has been exceptionally brave with his
injury and now is facing time in a wheelchair as part of his recuperation. His award was received last weekend by his mother, Libby Naven at our Junior Presentation. Harry has bought together the codes of all sport in our community. Terry Sturgess of Avoca was one of the first people in contact with the Trojans to see how he could help. The Terrigal Sharks were straight in contact to provide any help required. The Trojans families have united behind the Naven family helping to make the day to day issues a little more normal. Last weekend the Wamberal Surf Club and Trojans united with Wamberal builder, Mark Jones, to build a ramp into the Naven house for Harry. Harry, you have united the local sporting clubs. You are a Trojan and a deserving Spirit of Rugby Award winner! MAJOR AWARDS FOR TROJANS On Wednesday at the CCRU Presentation night the Terrigal Rugby Club received some very high honours including Taka's win of the prestigious Sid Noble Player of the Year Award. Ethan McInnes won two Major Awards including Senior Representative Player of the Year and Referees Player of the Year. Ethan was also very close behind Taka for the Sid Noble award. The Club received other great accolades including the Club Championship, Coaches of the Year, Junior Representative of the Year, Terry Woodward Award for Service and Highest Point Scorer of the Year. Well done to our Trojan Club representatives.

Vaughan Kernan, Lachlan Peruch and Harrisen Bowcock received the Representative Awards for Colts in 2017. Our Life Member, Owen Clark, believes these three guys, who won the Country Championship, are of special character and three of the best Colts to come through Rugby in many years. JUNIOR GRAND FINALS U12s Grand Final team. Whilst not coming home with the trophy our U12s played an awesome game. Under 11s Grand Final The two Terrigal U11s teams played an epic match where the Tri colour side scored in the last minute to win the game 22-21. We are proud of both teams.
U11s Grand Final Winners LAST WEEKEND MATCHES Last weekend saw Terrigal go back to their best with a convincing 67-5 win in the First Grade Final against Kariong. Terrigal started playing running rugby from the first whistle and never let off until the full time siren. The forwards held the foundation for this very strong victory and the back line took full advantage led by Taka and Adam Danckert. Terrigal bounced back and showed they are focussed and ready for this weekend s Grand Final. Our Colts bowed out to Avoca 17-5 in a match where our Colts didn t get into a rhythm. The Colts never gave up in their efforts and have shown this year they have a great future in rugby with our Terrigal Club.

Over the weekend, Breakers Staff will be dressed in our Sub Clubs Jersey s to support their seasons, winning their Premierships or Fighting for the Title this weekend. The Terrigal Sharks have had a great year and will feature in all four grades in this year's Rugby League Grand Final on Sunday at Woy Woy Oval. The Terrigal Sharks First Grade haven't been in a Grand Final for 31 years. The Terrigal Rugby Club wishes the Sharks all the very best to bring home a number of Premierships this weekend. If you have Sunday free, get down to Woy Woy Oval to support the Terrigal Sharks.
