II Nazarí Chess Festival Hotel Corona : 26-31 March 2015, Granada (Spain) 1. Nazarí Chess Club will organize the II Nazarí Chess Festival Hotel Corona in Granada (Spain) from 26th to 31th March. It will take place in Hotel Corona, in the center of Granada. The event will be split in 3 parallel tournaments: A, B and C. The chief arbiter will be Daniel Escobar Domínguez. The A Tournament will be valid for GM and IM norms and the B Tournament for IM norms. The 3 tournaments will be valid for FIDE and FADA ELO. 2. The schedule will be the following: Presentation of players Thursday 26 March 17:00 Round 1 Thursday 26 March 17:30 Round 2* Friday 27 March 10:00 Round 3 (Round 2 C Tourn.) Tuesday 31 March 9:00 *On Friday morning there is no round in C tournament. Round 2 will be played Friday at 16:30 and will follow the schedule indicated until the last round on Tuesday at 9:00.
3. The time control is 90 minutes to finish with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from the first move. 4. An appeals committee will be chosen by the participants before the beginning of the first round, and it will be made up by 5 participants, two of whom will act as substitutes in case that some conflicts affecting one of the entitled come up. Any complaints have to be made in writing and have to be presented to the Appeal Committee within one hour after the end of the session. 5. Clocks will be started punctually. Any player not presented after 30 minutes since the beginning of the match will not score. 6. Players will not be able to leave the tournament hall without a justification or the permission of the arbiter. 7. This tournament will be governed by the current rules of FIDE (interpretations and appendices included) norms to which all the participants will be subjected during the tournament. 8. Playing System: TOURNAMENTS A and B: Tournaments A y B will follow a 10 Round-Robin players format. Tie-breaks will follow this order: Sonnenborg-Berger, greater number of victories and greater number of games played with black pieces. TOURNAMENT C (New Open Format): Tournament C will be Open and will follow a Swiss system of 8 rounds. Due to capacity reasons, number of players will be limited to 35. Tie-breaks will follow this order: Buchholz -2, Progressive, Buchholz-1, FIDE Performance. This tournament will be valid for the "I Circuito de la Delegación Granadina de Ajedrez". 10. Half point BYES in C Tournament: It will be possible to ask for BYES (you will not be paired and you will get 0.5 points) for rounds one and/or two. The request should be made by email before 24 th March and should be explicitly confirmed by the organization.

If a player can get prizes from different categories, the higher prize will prevail. In case of same numbers of chess tutoring, the prizes will be assigned from right to the left in the table above (i.e., Under 14, Under 16, Under 2000 and at last Open category) and will be able to choose the teacher from the available ones. *The weekend in Madrid will consist of a two-night stay for two people in Hotel Ganivet*** or Hotel Avant Torrejón***, both from Hoteles Porcel Group. **Half inscription to the 2015 Nazarí Chess Campus.
