how to combine lights on in 5 steps 1 Step 1: Select the s straight or angular (length, light colour and quantity) Step 2: Select the connector (connection cable) 2 5 Step 5: Select the accessories 4 s information system: 1 = s straight or angular 2 = Connector 3 = Switch (remote control, motion sensor) 4 = Driver 5 = Accessories Step 4: Select the driver (corresponding to the wattage of the stripes) 6
check list for your led stripes module selection: ü Selection of s Indoor living area: s without coating (Step 1) Moist room version: s with coating (Step 1) (also useable for indoor living areas, provides a better protection against moisture and dust) ü Quantity and length of the s Take the measurements of the object that you want to illuminate and choose the quantity of straight s accordingly. (Step 1). If the object to be illuminated has corners, please choose angular s (Step 1) or a connecting cable (Step 2). All angular s have a coating. Nevertheless, you can connect them with s without coating. LED Stipes without coating can be shortened. They can be re-connected with connecting cable 92303 (step 2). The maxiumum length of stripes in a row is 5m. ü Selection of the light colour _ Stripes with RGB colour changer _ White s with 3000 Kelvin (warm white light) _ White s with 6400 Kelvin (cold white light) ü Selection of the switch (Step 3) _ Remote control: RGB colour changer _ Remote control: white light (3000 or 6400 Kelvin) _ Motion sensor: only for white light (3000 or 6400 Kelvin) Remote controls have an on/off switch as well as a dimming function. The motion sensor can`t be combined with a remote control. 3 Step 3: Select the switch (remote control, motion sensor) ü Selection of the driver Add the wattage of all needed s (straight and angular) and choose the corresponding driver (Step 4) 30 W, 48 W or 60 W. Attention: Wattage of the driver must be higher than the combined amount of the wattage of all s. ü Selection of the accessories (Step 5) _ Decorative aluminium rail _ Angular section to aluminium rail _ Junction box _ Heat shrink tube (IP 44) 7

example of use shortable All straight s can be shortened. s with coating can be shortened, but you can`t connect them again. Only s without coating can be connected again. You can connect them again with the connecting cable 92303. RGB stripes White light stripes Please only cut the s at the designated marks. Open front part, connect it with shortened LED Stripe and close it again. If you connect s again, please check whether the polarity is correct. example of use aluminium rail Stylish aluminium rail for a unique light The aluminium rail (1 m) is especially qualified for LED Stripes that are installed in a visible area. It gives the s a special and elegant touch, diffuses the light and lends the room a soft and harmonic ambience. You can use all EGLO LED Stripes Modules in combination with the aluminium rail. You can easily install the aluminium rail with the mounting clips. In addition to the aluminium rail you get suitable end and connecting parts, as well as stoppers that allow a vertical installation of the rail. 12
example of use humidity For installation in moist areas you can use the following products: s: 92306, 92307, 92308, 92309, 92312, 92313, 92367, 92368, 92369 Connecting cable: 92297, 92298 Accessory: 92305 With coated s and insulated connecting cables you can install a light system in areas with splash water. The heat shrink tube protects the connections between s and cables, or between two s. If you combine the aluminium rail with coated stripes, you can also use it in moisture areas. Attention: Not to be used in wet areas or underwater. example of use junction box Endless possibilities With the junction box you can connect 4 s and synchronise them. With the 50 cm connection cables you also have the possibility to combine areas which are t adjacent to each other (e.g. shelves). The junction box allows you to use more than 5m of stripes for your project, but remember: t more than 5m of stripes in a row. What you can do, for example, is to connect 3m of stripes to each one of the 4 junction points, giving you 12m in total. Attention: the wattage of all s you have used must t exceed the wattage of the driver. 13
calculation example watt Calculation is based on 1 m stripes Driver 30 Watt (max. stripes) Driver 48 Watt (max. stripes) Driver 60 Watt (max. stripes) white light stripes straight per 4.8 Watt angular per 0.4 Watt switch 0.6 Watt 6 x 1 x 1 x = 29.8 Watt 9 x 8 x 1 x = 47.0 Watt 12 x 4 x 1 x = 59.8 Watt RGB stripes straight per 7.2 Watt angular per 0.72 Watt switch 0.6 Watt 4 x 0 x 1 x = 29.4 Watt 6 x 4 x 1 x = 46.68 Watt 8 x 2 x 1 x = 59.64 Watt Attention: To retain the maximum light output quality it is adviseable t to connect more then 5 m of stripes in a row. The only way to use more than 5m is the junction box. Yet, even with the junction box, we do t advise you to connect more than 5m of stripes in a row (s. junction box on p. 13).
