Application Requirements Entry application includes: Two-page completed entry form and a color photo with entrants name and title of quilt on back of photo. Box 1384, Lakeside, Az 85929 Entry form due date: Entry forms and photo are due on or before July 14, 2017 Entry Requirements Number of Entries: Three (3) entries per entrant are permitted in each judged category. Other quilts can be entered in Display Only. Quilts previously entered in the For the Love of Quilts show cannot be entered. Entry Construction: Entries must have a top, batting and backing and contain quilting. Entry Condition: All entries must be show ready: finished, clean, undamaged, free of odor and pet hair. Sleeves: A four-inch hanging sleeve must be attached to the top back of the quilt. Quilts with a perimeter of 100 inches or less may have a sleeve or loops appropriate to its size. Quilts longer than 92 inches must have the top of the sleeve placed and sewn at 92 inches from the bottom of the quilt. Labels: Looking at the quilt back a label identifying the quilt maker/quilter and name of quilt must be secured to the lower left hand corner. Labels may be secured with safety pins, stitching or fusible. Showroom Display: Decisions regarding display of quilts are at the discretion of the quilt show committee. Entries with rigid frame, glass, special mounting or hanging devices will not be accepted. Cloth Bag: Quilts must be in a cloth bag (pillowcase acceptable or zippered pillow cover) with name of quilt & quilters name written in permanent ink. Quilt Show Timelines Entry forms, fees and photo must be postmarked or received by July 14, 2017. Entries can be turned in to Quilters Haven, Eagar, AZ. or Amazing Quilts, Lakeside, AZ. July 20 th or July 21 st 2017 during business hours. Quilt show ends at 3:00 p.m.. Friday August 4.. Quilts will be available for pick-up at Amazing Quilts in Lakeside and Quilters Haven in Eagar Saturday August 5 th or Monday August 7 th between 9:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m.

Judged or Display Quilt Categories If you wish to enter your quilt as a judged entry or display only, please choose the correct category from the list and definitions. Small - Perimeter is up to 200 Medium Perimeter is 201 up to 300 Large Perimeter is 301 up to 432 Pieced Predominately pieced quilts (hand or machine stitched) 1100S Small pieced 1200M Medium Pieced 1300L Large Pieced Appliqued hand turned or raw edge 2100S Small Appliqued 2200M Medium Appliqued 2300L Large Appliqued 300 - Fiber Art pieces made primarily with wool and textile fibers. It can be original in design and include embellishments if desired. Entries will be limited due to space considerations. 400 - Art Quilts in this category may illustrate a recognizable image such as wildlife, naturescapes, people, or cityscapes or they may be abstract in form and composition made up of nonliteral designs and include embellishments. 500 - Celebration A quilt made as a celebration of family, friends or an occasion such as weddings, anniversaries, births, graduation etc. 600 - Quilted articles purses, wearables, bags, totes. Must be quilted. 700 - Machine Embroidery/appliqued Majority and main focus of each block is made using an embroidery machine to embroidery or applique. 800 - Beginner/Novice - Entries that are the first through third finished quilt of the entrant. Novices are not required to enter their quilts in this category. However, this category allows entrants to have a chance to have their work judged against other beginning quilters rather than against the work of more experienced quilters. 900 Other Quilts that do not readily fit into any other category such as cathedral window, yo-yowhole cloth, crazy quilts, hand embroidery, silk ribbon, stencil, use of embellishment, tied and tacked.
1000 - Miniature must meet standard of a miniature perimeter 96 or less. The quilt must translate to a full size quilt pattern with no side larger than 24. A true miniature is to scale; not a single block. Miniatures can be whole cloth quilts.
