A superb early 19 th Century Coin Cabinet by the best London maker of the period 4047 An early 19 th Century Coin Cabinet, by William Roberts, of dark Cuban mahogany with ebony lips to top, 280mm wide x 270mm deep x 285mm high, panel doors, brass meeting bead, ornamental brass escutcheon, brass side handles, containing 20 single pierced trays, mixed size apertures, white pulls, Bramah lock (with key), the lock an early replacement. A few minor cracks to top, doors a trifle bowed, otherwise in good serviceable condition, an attractive early cabinet. 1000-1200 4048 A 19 th Century Mahogany Double-bank Coin Cabinet, 445mm wide x 305mm deep x 350mm high, fielded panel doors, containing 48 trays, all double-pierced, 32mm, white knobs, brass side handles, no lock.
