COMMITTED TO A CULTURED LIFESTYLE. For more than one hundred years the name Montblanc has epitomized the art of writing. The classic Fountain Pen, the Meisterstück first produced in 1924, has long become an icon. Not only because of its timeless beauty, but also because of the unmistakable values that take on a new and greater significance as modern life develops faster and faster; values such as tradition, fine craftsmanship and an appreciation of the need to take time for the essential things in life. It was first introduced a hundred years ago and today reminds of a commitment to finest European craftsmanship. The emblem has become one of the world s best-known and most respected.
Forge de Laguiole has created instantly recognisable knives that have become enduring icons all over the world. Ever since its introduction in 1829, each knife is assembled and finished by hand with infinite precision from start to finish by a single artisan. The most important components in the production are time, experience and craftsmanship. Each of the up to 180 steps in the fabrication takes place in the small village of Laguiole, situated in the L Aubrac region of southern France. Each knife is sawn, chiselled, assembled and polished by an artisan in the traditional manner, giving it an individual shape and personality. Originally used locally, a Forge de Laguiole knife is today an internationally recognized cult object, a design benchmark and a synonym of the French art of living.
