Print and Cut Solution CGFXII Series cutting plotters and JV33 inkjet printers True and efficient print and cut workflow with Mimaki s award winning JV33 Series wide inkjet printer.
Media and Applications Suitable cutting media Coloured vinyls (stickers) (Photo) paper Transfer paper (for dye sub transfer printing) Lettering Transparent thin plastics (especially with JV33 white ink) Flock and rubber Reflective and fluorescent The media should not be thicker than 0.25 mm. Typical applications Stickers Small signs Lettering and logo s Images to be transferred to clothing Window graphics
Features Registration mark detection for accurate contour cutting The light pointer can also be used to set the media straight Mimaki s Half-Cut function: cut through the media leaving connection points; then the image stays in the media Two blade holders and two rubbers; one for contour cutting and one for die cutting / half-cutting. Media sensor: sometimes it is handy to switch off the media sensor in the menu, especially when working with transparent media. Division cut: cut images that are larger than the media Expand: cut beyond the standard cutting width The over-cut function makes the starting and ending points overlap, which eliminates uncut portion of media
Features Automatic media cutting function User friendly FineCut software included plug-in for Print and Cut solutions Selectable clamp pressure with high and low setting ensures accurate cutting of various media Selectable three jog speeds ensures proper and easy positioning of the head to the marks Media can be loaded from the back and the front Up to 6 rolls of media can be set at one time (1 set standard) A special adaptor to use commercially available pens and USB interface are included
Two Blade Holders One for contour cutting and one for half-cutting Far side holder Turn the adjusting knob. This side holder The rear holder and pen line rubber are designed for contour cutting and the front holder and sponge rubber especially for halfcutting (through or die cutting) To switch from the contour cutting mode to half-cut mode, it is necessary to adjust the blade tip (to get a bit more blade). With this feature, it is possible to print approximately 90 m without changing cartridges.
High Speed Continuous Registration Mark Detection Type 1 Type 2 Keep space outside the marks (for more information see operation manual) Printable cuttable range Keep space between the marks Between 50 and 9000 mm Between mark length (a) and 1000 mm Between 50 and 9000 mm Between mark length (a) and 1000 mm For precise contour cutting of printed images, such as stickers, the optical sensor detects register marks that are printed on the media. By continuously detecting a maximum of 4 register marks nested images in both X and Y axis direction can be cut aligning each image automatically. Detecting one register mark is sufficient when using Mimaki s FineCut software.
Half-Cut Function A proprietary technology of Mimaki All Mimaki CG series cutters include Mimaki s original Half-Cut function. This function produces a series of half- and die-cuts leaving a few connection points that keeps the image in place. When the job is done the sticker / image can be taken out easily or the complete sheet or roll can be sent to the customer. Various media without backing sheet can also be Half-Cut.
Expand function and division cut function Effective cut area when the expand is set to on Effective cut area when the expand is set to off Pinch roller Expand function The expand function (selecting on or off ) allows user to cut beyond the standard cutting width (outside the standard margins). Division cut function The division cut function allows users to cut an image that is larger than the media in multiple jobs.
