Repeat the step and calculate longitude coordinate of Sydney, 151 12 30.39 E here enter the values as 151.123039. The value can be rounded to a desired number of digits Eg. 28.613939 or 28.614 Converting Decimal Degrees (DD) to Degree Minutes Seconds (DMS) Enter decimal degree coordinates and hit dms button to convert DD values into DMS. The resulting value is in degrees minutes seconds but needs to be formatted to represent it in sexagecimal notation. For example: The longitude of London is -0.127758 (The negative value indicates that London is located west of the Prime meridian). To enter this value and then click +/- to enter the sign of the value and hit dms button. The result obtained is -0.7399288 i.e equal to 0 7 39.93 W ( here the value is representing a location west of the Prime meridian hence it is represented with W indicates West). Repeat the step and calculate latitude coordinate of Wellington, that is -41.286460. Enter the value rst, then select the sign and hit dms to get the corresponding degrees minutes and seconds. The result needs to be formatted. As we know the negative value of latitude indicates a location south of Equatorial line (0 latitude). So the value can be formatted as 41 17 11.26 S.
