The various product options allow an interior designer to offer a significant number of solutions for their project. The attention to detail and the quality of the finishes presented are the same as those of other Albaplus products, our brand s trademark, fully MADE IN ITALY. 4

MATERIALS USED METAL Albaplus has gained many years of experience in metal processing for the furniture industry. From cutting to welding, to top finishes, we manage each activity directly from the headquarters in San Zenone degli Ezzellini (TV), which houses the main production machinery such as laser cutting and bending machines, technologically advanced and constantly up-to-date. The two main metals worked are steel and aluminium. Specifically, steel is used for chair frames with four legs, sled base, round swivels, and for stools and tables as well. The profiles used the most include round tubes, rectangular tubes and round rods, which in turn can be tapered. Top finishes such as chrome or brass plating, coating and brushing make our products attractive and long-lasting. Aluminium is used for its lightweight quality, which makes our products easy to handle and practical. A material we especially love here at Albaplus, due to the ease with which we can mould it, giving our designers room for creativity, and offer increasingly novel and original forms and designs. To work aluminium, we use extrusion and die-casting, offering an anodised version for some products, i.e. treated to be matte and resistant to corrosion. WOOD At Albaplus, we believe that protecting the environment is an issue of key importance, to ensure a future to current and future generations. Which is why we design our products in wood, taking care to reduce waste as much as possible. We offer high quality timber, some of the best on the market, because we want our products to tell a story, while keeping their quirks and features unchanged over time. The paints used for the finishes are water-based, while glues feature low formaldehyde emission, so they are as eco-friendly as possible. Our products quality is especially appreciable in the woods, which feature a wide range of timbers on offer, including solid Ash and Beech wood. The Ash is in solid wood, with straight fibres and a visible and irregular grain. It s perfect for coloured coatings, as it does not alter the shade of colour and always confers a vivid and brilliant effect. We offer the trestle version of the Folha family in solid Ash wood. Solid Beech is a durable wood, of medium hardness, with a colour that ranges from yellow to reddish. We offer the four-leg version of the Folha family in solid Beechwood. POLYURETHANE PADDING This is 100% non-deformable and long-lasting polyurethane. Moulding is done without the use of blowing agents (no CFCs); water is used for expansion. It is moulded on metal inserts, using epoxy resin or aluminium moulds. It has an average density of 60 kg/m 3. It is fireproof according to the following standards: - Italian class 1IM: UNI 9175/1987, UNI 9175/ FA1 1994 (Ministerial Decree 26.06.84 Art. 3, amended with Ministerial Decree 03.09.2001)s - French class M4 (NFP 92-507:2004) - California Technical Bulletin 117, Section A Part I and Section D Part II FABRICS In order to enhance, not just the product, but the intended use as well, we have identified a range of fabrics specifically for contract furnishing. With these fabrics, Albaplus chairs can provide colour, cosiness and comfort, conferring energy and elegance to their surroundings, and creating interesting contrasts. For each of our products in upholstered version, we invite you to carefully select the fabrics, choosing them first from the various categories and then from the weaves in the final pages of the price list. 5

CLEANING METAL Steel and aluminium can be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with warm water; detergents are not necessary. We advise drying after cleaning. Do not use any aggressive detergent or abrasive sponges. Use In the event of contact with liquids, wipe down immediately to avoid surface stains. Wood may alter over time, due to wear and exposure to the sun: for this reason it is advisable not to place wood items in direct sunlight. Never place hot pans directly on the surface for any reason whatsoever. FABRICS the inside. For small ones use a damp sponge or brush and dampen the fabric without wetting it, which could cause the natural fibre lining underneath to shrink. With regard to the effect of stain removers on linings, follow the manufacturer s instructions to the letter. A stain remover used locally is enough for small stains. For large ones it is advisable to work on the entire padded item. A spray stain remover can give good results. If necessary, use an anionic detergent. We do not recommend a vacuum brush as traces of the shampoo used may remain on the fabric and could alter its fireproof properties. After removing stains dry the fabric completely at a gentle temperature. SPECIAL TREATMENTS Disinfection If disinfection is necessary (e.g. in hospitals) use disinfectants, especially those containing aldehydes. Creased fabric Creases can be avoided by using a steam iron that will not damage the fabric (a good method to keep upholstery clean). This treatment raises the fabric surface pile. Before using any cleaning method, check the type of fabric involved and clean in the most appropriate way. STAIN REMOVAL General recommendations Stains do not penetrate the fibres and stay on the surface. They can generally be removed by means of a sponge. A stain remover is advised to eliminate old stains. Remove them gently to avoid tidemarks. Treat the stains from the outside towards 6

READING THE PRICE LIST The Folha price list is divided into three seat categories: small armchair, lounge chair and lounge plus chair. The first column shows the base model, while the second column lists the four categories of fabric to which the various prices refer. At the foot of the page, is the list of fabrics available for each category. In the two columns with the prices, the lefthand one is for the standard version, while the right-hand one is for the characteristic version with LEAF effect stitching.
