Door Linings and Casings Door linings are supplied with a loose door stop, which is fixed in position once the lining is installed. Door casings have a built-in rebate along the full length of the jambs and headers this creates the door stop. Lining Casing Mouldings Our stock range of mouldings includes traditional Ogee and Torus profiles in a variety of widths, along with contemporary/chamfered profiles, and veneered oak mouldings for that extra finishing touch. Joinery and Flooring Flooring Solid Wood Flooring Engineered Wood Flooring Laminate Wood Flooring Solid Wood Our solid wood flooring is manufactured from the finest quality timber it is supplied in random lengths for fixing via secret nails or glue. Engineered Wood The cross-laminated manufacturing process gives a very stable finished floor, one which is suitable for use with underfloor heating and the 5G glueless locking system ensures that installation time is kept to a minimum. Laminate Laminate flooring is made up of a multi-layered decorative melamine surface, a core substrate of MDF or HDF and a balancing back layer for stability. The melamine face finish helps to protect against scratches and dents, and ongoing cleaning/maintenance of the finished floor is straightforward. Cross Section Detail of Engineered Flooring Our engineered flooring is constructed using various sub-layers and finished with a solid hardwood top layer. Standard Ogee and Torus profiles are all 18 thick, in the following widths: 168 119 69 All are white primed MDF, suitable for final painting on-site. We also offer oak veneered mouldings, which can be stained and/or lacquered on site to suit individual needs. Flooring Collection Offering a wide range of flooring including Laminate, Engineered and Solid Wood, designed to complement all property types from new build to renovation. Solid Wood Flooring Solid wood flooring is exactly what the name implies: a solid piece of wood from top to bottom. The thickness of solid wood flooring can vary, but generally ranges from 12-20. One of the many benefits of solid wood flooring is that it can be sanded and re-finished many times. Solid wood flooring can be installed on ground level and above ground level. Go to our Technical Guide for advice on where to use our flooring. Engineered Wood Flooring Real wood flooring that is manu-factured using multiple layers of different wood veneers or fillets. The sub layers can be of the same species or, as in most cases, of different species. The grain of each layer runs in different directions, which makes it more stable than solid wood flooring. This means that the wood will expand and contract less than solid wood flooring during fluctuations in humidity and temperature. The top layer of engineered wood flooring consists of high quality wood species of different types, the most coon being white oak. While this type of flooring can be sanded and finished, it cannot be done as many times as solid wood flooring. Engineered wood flooring can be installed below ground level and above ground level. Laminate Flooring Laminate flooring is made up of single or multi-layered decorative layer with a decorative melamine layer, a substrate mdf or hdf and a balancing backer. The decor is a printed and can be of real wood flooring or tile effects etc. The prints are extremely realistic and tend to be more affordable than real wood flooring. Its advantages are it is easy to install and comes in locking systems. The melamine protection layer helps it to withstand dents more easily than real wood flooring and is more scratch resistant than real wood flooring.
