Pierce this fall. We have chosen Saturday, September 6th and the first session will be conducted by Canon s Drew MacCallum, the morning speaker from our last seminar. This event will feature a lunch/walkabout shooting session following the morning lecture, and will be followed by an instructional Canon printer demo in the afternoon, utilizing your images from the walkabout, with free printing for participants. Although Canon is co-sponsoring this event with us, most of what Drew and the printer reps will be covering will be universal camera and printing information and can easily be applied to other camera manufacturers equipment, such as Sony or Nikon. We are encouraging anyone who has basic camera questions or who wants to get together for a day of learning and shooting to participate! Please contact Jiffy Photo to reserve your spot! The fee for the entire day is only $30.00, with parking in the Parking Garage next door, and lunch on your own before or after the walkabout shoot. For reservations call: Jiffy Photo 772-461-0872 Ginny or Janie A friendly reminder this is a volunteer based organization we are looking for some good people to help set up and breakdown chairs and tables at the end and beginning of each meeting. Please sign up for volunteering. Thank You

Monthly Meeting Gear Swap Photographers are always looking for the latest and greatest gear and equipment. We spend a lot of money looking for that perfect piece of equipment that is going to take our photography to the next level. And, so, over the years we all end up collecting things that we no longer want or use, i.e. camera bodies, lenses, camera bags, filters, tripods, etc., etc. We will have space/tables available for you to display your photographic related items you wish to sell, trade or give away. Your items should be marked with the usual info, i.e. name, price and any spec sheet data, etc. Also, any publications you wish to sell or share bring them. Displaying your items during the social hour will get the most exposure. The Treasure Coast Photography Center, Inc. will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any displayed items. Each member is totally responsible for their own stuff. All equipment/materials must be removed from the building by the end of the meeting. Any items not claimed by the end of the meeting will be disposed of. Okay, now, everybody dig through your closets and old camera bags and see what you ve got. What s that old saying one man s trash is another.

You can view the full prospectus; all rules, entry information and important dates at: http://www.onlinejuriedshows. com/default.aspx?ojsid=310. Treasure Coast Photography Group for their support, not only in making their members aware, but also encouraging them to participate in From the Heart. It is good to know that support, for this event, is coming from all over the Treasure Coast and beyond. I also want to thank our many local business and private sponsors (23 in all), for without them, this exhibition would not be possible. I would truly love to see each and every TCPC, Inc. member participate in this year s exhibition. If you ve never entered into a photo competition before and you are looking for guidance, please ask; club members are here to help. Hence, our motto: Learn, Share, Fun. And, if by chance your work is not selected for the show, just know that you will gain competition experience and your entry fee will still help provide much needed support to Grace Way Village. If anyone has any questions about From the Heart, please do not hesitate to call me at 772-480-6608. Cheers and happy shooting..! In case you don t know, this year s recipient of the net proceeds from the exhibition is Grace Way Village, a Fort Pierce based 501(c)(3) non-profit community outreach organization whose mission is to equip under-resourced Treasure Coast families to live in total mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and economic health. For more information on Grace Way Village, go to.www.gracewayvillage.org. There are three basic reasons why we conduct this photo exhibition: (1) it provides our members a venue to have their work displayed and recognized in a community setting to some maybe their first time; (2) to establish good relations between TCPC, Inc. and our local Treasure Coast communities; and (3) to provide much needed monetary support to one of our wonderful local non-profit organizations. Speaking of community relations, I want to personally thank the leaders of the Indian River Photography Club and the
