Relevance DG EMPL/DG SANCO Current data on health employment Joint Questionnaire: All variables relevant/partly relevant except for graduates in pharmacy, midwifery, {professional nursing and associate professional nursing} (DG SANCO) Eurostat additional module: All variables relevant/partly relevant except for the physician categories microbiology, haematology, dermatology and pathology (non-relevant for DG EMPL, but highly relevant by DG SANCO) Current data on Physical resources All variables relevant/partly relevant except for some technical equipment (digital subtraction angiography units, gamma cameras, radiation therapy equipment and lithotripters: DG EMPL) 28-29 June 2011 WG PH - 9.1.2 NMHC data relevance for medium term 5

Current data on health care activities All data already collected by Eurostat or/and WHO and proposed for the Joint Questionnaire s common module are relevant for both of the DGs All remaining activities of the Eurostat additional module are relevant for DG SANCO and partly relevant for DG EMPL Data on health care activities currently collected by OECD and proposed for the JQ Most are essential for DG SANCO (ECHI) except for functioning kidney transplants, patients undergoing dialysis and end stage renal failure patients (however: partly relevant) All partly relevant for DG EMPL 28-29 June 2011 WG PH - 9.1.2 NMHC data relevance for medium term 6
