Here's one thing you're not going to hear from me in this video and the next video that follows. You're not going to hear a whole bunch of hype about how to make your business a success, how to make more money, how to be better in your world, how to take more action, have a clearer vision. In fact, you're not even going to hear how you can make miracles from your message, which is traditionally what I've been known for. As a result of my experience and the work that I've done over the last ten years, I've helped hundreds of thousands of people find their voice, stand on a platform in front of a camera just like this and take their message out to millions and make a difference in the lives of the people that they serve. I have had nothing but joy and bliss and incredible opportunities come my way simply because I've been willing to stand for what I'm most passionate about. In this video and this series and what I'm going to talk to you about at the end of this video series has nothing to do with finding your voice and finding your message and building your business. It's got nothing to do with that. I'm not going to talk to you about how to make more money, how to build a greater business, how to market yourself, how to leverage your time. I'm not going to do any of that. There's one thing I've discovered when it comes to creating a life of our dreams and fulfilling the vision that we have for ourselves and for the people that we serve. There's one component that's absolutely missing and over the years, I've discovered the secret to really grow in life and to be of service while feeling completely fulfilled. There's one secret, and I'm going to share that with you here. In the last video I talked a lot about the inner world and how that's reflected in the outside world. In this video I want to share with you how you can take that great leap from where you are now to where you actually want to be. It's not about having another strategy. It's not about having another technique or another tool in your kit bag. It's not about any of that. What it is about is you being able to discover how this mechanism works (refers to the body of life, the self). There are really only two components of this great piece of machinery, this piece of life that we celebrate in our modern age. The first is our thinking, it's our intelligence, our intellect. We are so smart, we are so clever, we can dissect and analyze anything until we are blue in the face. The other part that we celebrate is our emotions, it's our feelings. When we look at the law of attraction, we use our feelings as a way to determine whether we're in line with what we want to create and manifest. You've all heard it before. It's be touted for the last fifteen or twenty years as the number one way to be in line with what we want, but there's something significantly missing. The way that we think generates the way that we feel. We can be totally striving towards this amazing life, this gorgeous house, car, bank account, family,
relationship, love, laughter. We can be totally going towards that with our intellect and what we think. Then we can align our emotions, because our emotions are a direct response to what goes on between our two ears, but there's a problem, because what we want to have in our life only shows up half the time if we're lucky. That recipe of aligning ourselves, it doesn't really work, not all the time, not consistently enough to say it's fool-proof, and we need to do it, do it over and over and over again and it will always work for you. Of course it feels good. It feels good to think positively and it feels good to feel good. It does. We all can agree with that, so there's a massive benefit and a massive bonus to that whole strategy, but the number one piece of the puzzle that's actually missing is what we're going for is an outward experience, outward gratification, outward recognition, outward things. We're becoming a society of accumulation, of so much stuff. Have you noticed that the more stuff you have the more stress you have, and the more stuff you have the more stuff you need, and the more stuff you have the more stuff you want, and the more stuff you have the more money you need to make in order to facilitate more of that? It leaves us in this perpetual state of wanting. What's really driving the bus? We can intellectually decide we want a new car, a new house, a new relationship, a better business. We can intellectually decide that those are the things that we want, but what's actually driving the bus is this great heavy weight of unconscious belief that we're not enough, that we're not good enough, that we'll never be enough. The unconscious mind represents at least ninety per cent of the weight behind what is our creative energy. Have you ever heard that before? Has anybody ever said that you've got to battle the unconscious mind, you've got to battle the unconscious demons in order to get what you want? Unfortunately, that seems to be a reality, because what we say we want and what we get are never quite the same. What we say we want in our goals and our visions and our dreams and our aspirations never quite show up the way that we want them to. It comes in a completely different way and wrapped in a completely different package, and then in our minds we've got to justify that that's what's right for that time. That's how we come to terms with the fact that the goals and the dreams that we have don't come to life in the way that we want them to and we're battling this great unconscious heavy weight that's dragging us down, that feels like ten tons that we've got to drag around with us just in order to get to the next step or the next level of expansion in our lives, in our love, in our relationships, in our families and in our businesses and in our bank accounts. Page 2 of 6
There's this whole external world that is causing us constant challenge, which then causes us to say now that I have X, I want to strive for Y. When I get Y, I'm going to go for W. When I get W, I'm going to go for Z. When I get Z, I think I'm going to go for P. When I get P, I'm going to go for Q. We constantly use our external world as the guide to what we strive for next. Let me ask you something. How's that working out for us? Not just for you individually, but how is that working out for us collectively? We are constantly looking at the world outside of ourselves to determine what we want to achieve next, so we live in this constant state of wanting, needing to achieve and of what we have isn't enough, so we're always wanting to go for more. If we look at what traditional training tells us, that's expansion. Constantly desiring for more, that's expansion, but I want to say in this video it ain't. What that is, is exhaustion. That is not mastery. That way of living is life in a limited nutshell. That's not mastery. Mastery is living life limitless. It's really an art. I want to talk to you about that today, about what it takes to actually master your world in such a way that whatever you have outside is miraculous, extraordinary, and exemplary. Everything that you have outside should allow you to fall into the deepest sense of gratitude, playfulness, flow, divinity, enlightenment, because the inner world is actually the driving force, not the unconscious mind, not the conscious mind and not an external gratification. What do I mean by the inner world? Let's explore that for a moment, shall we? What really is the inner world and how do we master it? The inner world is what goes on between our two ears. It is our thoughts and it is our emotions, what's going on on a cellular level. We have these various components of ourselves, our personalities, our dreams, our desires. We have our stories, our experiences, our past and our future and of course our present. There's all these different components that seem to make us up as to who we are. I've thrown our identity in there, as we said on the last video, and it's kind of like this great quantum soup of stuff that we feel dissatisfied with and we want to expand so we try to create something different or something more. What we're not doing, because we're in this constant state of wanting more... What we're not doing is mastering the inner world. What we are doing instead is allowing ourselves to be continually distracted. When I say how's that working out for us, the answer is very clear. We feel like we're on this constant treadmill pushing against time, pushing against our ability to be motivated, pushing against any inspiration, and pushing against the very thing that we want the most, which is freedom, it's peace, it's happiness and it's love. Page 3 of 6
How do we get that? By mastering the inner world. We have to start by mastering what goes on between our two ears and how that then generates our emotions, because our emotions are actually living inside of our bodies which then will trigger a memory. Really all we are is this collection of memories, this collection of thoughts that sometimes we buy into and sometimes we don't, and sometimes we get an emotional response to and sometimes we don't. Either way, it seems kind of random don't you think? Let's really dive deep into how we can master the inner world by understanding that we are not our thoughts, we are not our emotions, we are not the body. We are actually beyond all of that. Let me ask you, how do you know that you have thoughts? I'm going to dive down the rabbit hole here a little bit, so stay with me. I promise you I'm taking you somewhere. How do you know you have a thought? How do you know? Do you know that you have thoughts? You would say yes, so that means that there's a part of you that is not thoughts but is aware of thoughts. Does that make sense? You are having thoughts. You are not your thoughts, but you have thoughts. Are you your emotions? Are you your sadness? Are you your happiness? Are you your enthusiasm? Are you your frustration? Have a look inside. Go on in, do some inner inquiry. There is a part of you that is aware that you have sadness from time to time. Is that true? Yes, it is true. There's a part of you that is aware that you experience frustration from time to time. We do have emotions, but those emotions are not who we are. Do you have experiences? Do you stub your toe, brush your teeth, eat your breakfast, pet your dog, hug your husband, cuddle your child? Do you have experiences? The answer is yes, you do. You do have experiences, but are you your experiences? No, you're not your experiences. Your experiences are something that occurs inside of this great and beautiful life that you live. You are more than your thoughts. You are more than your emotions. You are more than your experiences. Do you have memories? Yes, you do. There's a part of you that is aware that you have memory of what you ate yesterday if you go back and have a look. There's a part of you that's aware that you have a memory. Whenever you have a part of you that is aware that you have something... You're aware that you have thoughts, you're aware that you have an emotion, you're aware that you have experiences, you're aware that you have memories. You're aware that you have all of these things, but the awareness is the part of you that is more you than the thought is, than the emotion is, than Page 4 of 6
the experience is, than the memory is. There's a part of you that is actually watching all of that, aware of all of that. Before we go too deep and before I get lost with too many of you guys, I just want to stop us there. If we could have a closer relationship with the part of us that is aware that we have thoughts, the part of us that is aware that we have emotions, the part of us that is aware that we have memories... If we could have a closer relationship with our self-awareness than the relationship we have with the actual thought or the actual emotion or the actual experience or the actual memory, if we could have a closer relationship with our self-awareness than we had with all of those external drivers, then we would really start to know who and what we are in a much deeper way. That's what I'm talking about when I'm talking about mastering your inner world. It's becoming familiar and intimate with the part of you that is the source of all of those things. You are the source of your thoughts. You are the source of your emotions that are occurring inside. You are the source of your experiences. I don't know if you ever noticed this, but everywhere you go you're there. Have you noticed? Every time there's an experience you're there, so you are the source of all of that. When you think of your memories, you're always in those memories. In some way you're always in those memories. You are the source. It's really about discovering how you can become the master and really understand and get close to and intimate with the source of all that there is, your selfawareness. This video hopefully has given you a lot to think about, taken you down the rabbit hole a little bit. What I want to finish with before we leave you on to the next video, which is our final video in this series... What I want to leave you with is an invitation. It's an invitation to go in and start asking questions about your self-awareness. How aware are you of the thoughts that you're having? How aware are you of the emotions that have been occurring inside your body? How aware are you of your environment? How aware are you of your physical wellbeing? How aware are you of the memories that just come up from nowhere? How aware are you really of yourself inside of this planet and how aware are you of the dialogue that you have with yourself, and specifically what you say to yourself? Start to pay attention. Start to focus in on your awareness. In the next video I'm going to show you how you can start to live effortlessly when you've got that connection with your self-awareness, because I want to introduce you to a program that I've created called The Effortless Self. It's probably one of my most profound creations and I am so excited. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to be able to share it with you on the next video. Page 5 of 6
You really do want to make sure that you tune into that one. Go back and listen to this video again, because it might be a little bit of a muddle maker. I can't wait to share this ride with you and start to help you to live effortlessly, because life is never meant to be a struggle. Life is always supposed to be an effortless, blissful journey of creation, expansion and evolution. That's the opportunity that awaits you when you discover what's going on inside of this piece of life, this piece of machinery. It's the most complex piece of machinery, and until you master it inside how can you master it outside? Thanks for tuning in and I'm going to see you on the next video. Page 6 of 6
