XTU STT 1. ttach the mounting bar to the outlet box, (The green screw should face the floor). 2. emove the threaded ring from the screwcollar loop. ully thread the screwcollar loop onto the nipple. Thread the hex nut onto the nipple and the nipple into the crossbar. lace the canopy over the screwcollar and against the ceiling. djust the nipple so that 1/4" of threads on the screwcollar loop extend beyond the canopy. Tighten the hex nut against the crossbar. Using the threaded ring, install the canopy. 3. ssemble the stem to the fixture leads.tape the end of the leads to a stiff wire (coat hanger) to aid in pulling them through the stem. lace the canopy onto the stem before assembling the top stem section. 4. pen the end links of the chain and attach the chain to the screwcollar loop.ang the fixture on the chain at the desired height. emove the excess chain close all links. Unscrew the threaded ring from the screwcollar loop. llow the ring and canopy to slide down the chain to the top of the fixture. W The use of chain pliers for opening and closing chain is required. The use of tools other than the chain pliers may damage the chain link resulting in a failure which can cause harm to the fixture, property and/or person(s)! 5. ut off the excess ground and fixture wire 6'' beyond the canopy. Strip 1/2'' of insulation from the ends of the wire. Twist the wire stands together. 6. asten the ground wire to the green or bare copper wire in the outlet box or the green screw on the mounting ring. W ever fasten the ground wire to the black or "hot" wire! ailure to follow this instruction could result in serious injury or death! lectrical tape pproved fastener ( wire nut ) 7. asten the white fixture lead to the white wire in the outlet box. asten the wires together with an approved fastener (wire nut). Starting about 1" below the fastener, tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape so that the connections seals the end of the fastener. W ake sure that there is no exposed wire or strands that could cause a dangerous short circuit! 8. onnect the black fixture lead to the black wire in the outlet box. asten the joined wires as in step 7. 9. Slide the canopy and screwcollar ring up the chain and secure the canopy to the ceiling. 10. nstall the lamps (light bulbs). T: This fixture is rated for 60 watts candelabra based type,, or lamps W T X WTT! 11. ang the shell/crystal strands following the crystal schedule (see figure 3&4). T: f the fixture is being installed in a room with hard floor (tile, wood, etc.) place a blanket or carpet below the fixture before installing the crystal trimming. 12. estore power to circuit at breaker or fuse box. age 4 of 5
