Week 1 Coming into Alignment with YOU If you ve been working with the Law of Attraction for any length of time, you are already familiar with the steps you would take to manifest something you want. First, decide what you want, going into as much detail as possible. Visualize it daily, pouring a lot of positive emotion into it. You might also stick magazine photos that represent your desire on a vision board, and look at them for several minutes every day. You might recite an affirmation every day like, I m so happy and grateful that I now have my dream job. You would practice believing that your desire is already on the way to you. All of these techniques are really popular manifesting tools that can help you bring great things into your life. But sometimes, they don t seem to work. Almost everyone experiences this at some time or another. They do all the right things, the very same things that have worked dozens or hundreds of times before... but this time nothing happens. Nothing manifests. Or maybe things get worse! Why does this happen? Sometimes there might be a blockage, a limiting belief, or some fear that prevents it from manifesting. But more often, the culprit is RESISTANCE. This happens mostly on subjects that you have a strong emotional attachment to. Page 1 of 11

That means you REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want this thing to manifest because you re REALLY, REALLY, REALLY not happy with the way things are right now in that area of your life. So, for example, let s say you have a powerful desire to meet your soul mate. You feel lonely and left out much of the time, and it seems like everyone in the world is in a happy relationship except you. You keep visualizing your ideal partner every chance you get. You ve rearranged your closet to make room for his or her clothing. You attend social functions as often as you can, feeling sure that you re going to meet this amazing person at any moment. But he or she doesn t show up and you go home feeling dejected and lonely again. This can go on for months, or years. You truly believe that your dream relationship is possible... but WHERE is this person?? You get so frustrated that it s not working and you feel like giving up. That s just one example of a subject that you have a lot of resistance on. It can be on any subject, like money, health, career, relationships, or anything else. Resistance is really just negative emotion, but it acts like a roadblock that keeps you from coming into alignment with the thing you re trying to manifest. Now, here s the interesting thing. All of those techniques I just mentioned (visualization, affirmations, and so on) are supposed to help you come into alignment with the essence of the things you want. That s the whole purpose of using them, so you start resonating on the same frequency as your desire. Every time you visualize your ideal relationship, and you start vibrating on that same frequency, a signal is sent out to the universe that starts drawing your ideal relationship into your life. BUT if you have a lot of resistance on that subject, it won t work because the moment you start trying to visualize your ideal relationship, you feel stressed out, irritated, annoyed, frustrated, and defeated. So you activate all that negativity in your energy signal, and that blocks your ideal relationship from manifesting. All you can manifest are more things that upset you. It works the same way with money, success, health, weight loss, and everything else. If you ve been trying to attract something for a long time and it hasn t been working, now you know why! You ve probably got a fair amount of resistance on that subject! If you want to find out for sure, just think about that area of your life and consider, How do I feel about this situation? If you feel really angry or annoyed, that s a pretty clear indication that you ve got a lot of resistance about it. Same thing if you feel really sad, stressed, or any negative emotion. It means you ve got some resistance on that subject that is holding you back. This is a great way to tell how close you are to manifesting something you want, by the way. If you feel great when you think about it, you re really close. If you feel at least a little bit hopeful or excited, you re not TOO far away. Page 3 of 11

The intensity of the emotion, and whether that emotion is positive or negative, lets you know how much resistance you ve got, and how close or far away you are to receiving what you want. So if you find that you have some resistance on something you really, really want, what can you do? If you keep trying to visualize it or use other manifesting techniques, most likely you re just going to make the resistance stronger. You need to find a way to dissolve the resistance and stop feeling upset that you don t have what you want. One common bit of advice to do this is to stop focusing on the problem and start focusing on something else that makes you feel good. As you keep doing that, you gradually dissolve the resistance, your frequency rises, you come into alignment with your desire, and eventually it will manifest. However, the problem with this approach is that it s really HARD to stop focusing on something that bothers you so much! For example, if you re really struggling financially and you need to manifest more money, you can t avoid focusing on money for very long because everything in your outer circumstances will keep reminding you that you don t have enough money. Bill collectors keep calling. You keep getting late notices in the mail. You need to buy something or pay for something and suddenly you remember that you don t have enough money to pay for it. And every time one of those things happens, you suddenly feel that intense resistance again, which keeps money from coming into your life. So, just not thinking about it won t work too well in a situation like this. But there is another technique that DOES work well in any situation, even those you have a lot of resistance around, and this technique is the basis of this course. The technique is... coming into alignment with your inner self. You ve probably heard the terms inner self, higher self, and inner being. All of these describe the non-physical, spiritual part of you. This is the part of you that is fully connected to Source energy, God, Infinite Intelligence, Divinity whatever term you use for the creative power of the universe. According to several different belief systems, this part of you is already fully selfrealized, which means it is One with Source. Being One with Source means not lacking anything; not experiencing separation or loss on any level. You may be familiar with Abraham-Hicks, they are one of the first teachers of Law of Attraction principles in modern times, and they have said that your inner being has already expanded and BECOME everything you desire. When you have a strong desire for more money and abundance, your inner being instantly expands and starts vibrating in alignment with the essence of abundance. When you have a strong desire for love, well-being, success, freedom, or anything else, your inner being instantly starts vibrating on that frequency. Your job is to then start working on bringing your PHYSICAL SELF into alignment too, so you can receive what you have asked for by launching a strong desire. Page 5 of 11

That s where all of those techniques like visualizing are supposed to help, by shifting you into the frequency of the essence of your desire. But if resistance gets in the way, you won t get far. So, that brings us to the next question: How does coming into alignment with your inner self help you manifest easier? Since your higher self is already fully connected to Source, it is naturally vibrating at a higher frequency than your physical self is. After all, your spiritual self is not bothered by earthly concerns like you are it doesn t get dragged down by negativity, fear, worry, doubt, or anything else. It has already become everything you desire to be, so it resonates on the frequency of absolute joy, love, peace, abundance, and well-being. What do you suppose would happen if you started tuning into this higher aspect of yourself on a regular basis? That s right your own frequency would start rising to more closely match the frequency of your higher self! Maybe not 100%, because you are still focused here in the physical, dealing with negativity and challenges, and those things will definitely have an effect on your overall frequency. But what if you could raise your frequency even a little bit? Or raise it by quite a bit? Do you have any idea what would happen? I can tell you from experience what would happen: Page 6 of 11

You would start releasing tons of resistance, quickly and easily. You would reduce stress and feel better physically & emotionally. You would feel a stronger sense of self-acceptance and self-love. You would have more patience and compassion for others. Your intuition would get stronger and you would start receiving more hunches and creative ideas. And YES you would start manifesting the things you want much faster and easier. When you start coming into alignment with your inner self, your frequency automatically starts rising, which dissolves resistance in ALL areas of your life. You could really call this a hands-off manifesting tool! You let the power of your subconscious mind start working for you. You don t have to visualize, say affirmations, create vision boards, or do anything else to manifest your desires. The moment you conceive a desire, the universe feels it and the Law of Attraction starts gathering everything needed to bring it to you. The only benefit in using all of those great manifestation tools is to help you focus on what you want, clarify your desire, and come into alignment with it. But again, if focusing on it stresses you out, you re defeating the whole purpose. That s where this hands-off technique can come in handy. Just tune into a higher frequency WITHOUT focusing on the things that annoy you, and there is no longer anything holding you back! SO now for the big question: Page 7 of 11

How do you tune into your higher self? It s incredibly easy to do. Maybe you ve even done it before without realizing it, maybe when you were meditating, or right before you drifted off to sleep. But this time you ll be much more aware of what s happening, and you will have full control over being able to do it as often as you want. I m including a guided meditation that will walk you through the full process, but I ll just cover it here briefly to give you an idea of what it s like. The first thing to do is find a quiet place where you won t be distracted. Later, once you ve practiced this technique a bit, you ll be able to do it almost anywhere. But to start, it will be easier if you can really concentrate on it. Once you ve found a quiet place, get comfortable, either sitting or lying down. Spend a few minutes breathing deeply and slowly, quieting your mind and relaxing your body as much as possible. Once you feel nice and relaxed, start thinking about your inner being. You don t have to have a clear concept of what this part of you is, or how it might look, or any details. Just focus on the non-physical part of you, think about how it is fully connected to Source, it has expanded to become everything you have ever wanted during your lifetime. This part of you is resonating completely on the frequency of joy, love, peace, abundance, well-being, success... everything that you want, your inner self has already become, and is waiting for the physical you to catch up to that higher frequency. Think about this higher frequency, and what it must feel like. Think about what it must feel like to BE this expanded version of yourself. Page 8 of 11

As you ponder these things, you will probably start to feel a little bit lighter. In fact, you can even imagine your awareness starting to rise, as if it were floating up into the heavens to more closely match the consciousness of your higher self. Imagine that the energy field around your body is gently EXPANDING outward, becoming bigger and brighter. As you focus on this, you might feel a sense of warmth flowing over you, or a slight tingling, or maybe goose bumps flowing over your body. You may feel a sense of deep calm within you, or a feeling of elation and joy. Whatever you feel is fine. Don t worry too much about the details it will probably be different for everyone. As long as it feels good, you are on the right track. If you don t really notice any sensations at all, that s okay too. The feelings may get stronger the more you work on it, or you may not feel much of anything, but the outer results will prove to you that it s still working. Again, it will probably be different for everyone. You may also feel or see a representation of your inner self, like a vision of a much brighter, wiser version of yourself, or a light being walking toward you, or just feeling a warm, loving presence within you or right next to you. You might even hear your inner self speak to you. Again, whatever you see, hear or feel is fine; don t worry too much about it if you do or don t experience anything along these lines. In the next few weeks we re going to go into much more detail on getting to know and communicate with your higher self. Page 9 of 11

For now, just keep focusing on raising your awareness, and raising and expanding your energy. Try to do this at least once a day, for maybe 5-10 minutes; more often if you can. Don t be surprised if you can t maintain that higher perspective for long. Your default frequency is probably in the lower ranges, so you might feel great for a few minutes after you do the exercise... but then you ll bounce back to your regular frequency. Don t get frustrated if this happens. Just keep practicing raising your consciousness as high as you can and tuning into your inner self. Another thing that might happen is that those subjects where you already have a lot of resistance might keep popping up and triggering negative feelings, which drags you down to a lower frequency again. Even though that s definitely annoying when it happens, the same advice applies. Don t get upset about it; just practice focusing yourself into a higher frequency again. Over time, the more you practice tuning into the higher frequency of your inner self, you ll stay there more and more of the time, and you won t be so easily influenced by things that are happening around you. So that s your very simple homework for the week; just keep practicing tuning into the higher frequency of your inner self. Definitely avoid trying to do any of the typical manifestation techniques during this week UNLESS it s on a subject that you already feel pretty good about. If you feel good while you re visualizing or saying affirmations or whatever, odds are that you don t have a lot of resistance on that subject, so it s totally okay to Page 10 of 11

work on it in any way you like. Just stay away from working on the subjects that cause you to feel stressed or not good in any way.
