Ethics by design 2018 Principale conférence française dédiée à la conception numérique responsable et sociale
Designers Éthiques We are a collective of designers, sociologists, philosophers, researchers, students and professionals. Our community works on the ethical dimension in the digital, and issues that designers have to be aware of (like attention, persuasion) in their everyday jobs creating interfaces and their impacts for users. We promote a recognition of the designer s role, by taking in account the interests of the professionnals and the researchers. Finally, we participate in raising public awareness through our actions and media relays. In 6 months of existence, we already build a community which gathers 100 people.
Our purpose Promote and participate in the implementation of services that respect their users, from the outset. Edition 2017 130 participants and 11 speakers were present for the first edition of Ethics by Design in Lyon. Edition 2018 - Intentions Rich of the success of this first edition, Ethics By Design comes back in 2018 in Paris. Supported by our community, the collective gained in maturity and in scope. For 2018, our aim is to gather 300 participants in May, by using again what made the first edition so great : conferences followed by workshops, connecting the professionnal world and the research, while building up a more precise and accurate reflexion upon digital design.
