A GUIDE TO INTERNET MARKETING by Sam Robinson Hi, my name is Sam Robinson and in the last few months with Sam Bakker I have been on a journey that has seen me working 8-5 and struggling to get a small business off the ground, to financial independence and giving up my day job to lead the life I have always wanted to lead. I have been friends with Sam Bakker for many years now. It was through his insistence after seeing me struggle with various business ideas and projects, he suggested that I get into Internet Marketing. As a close friend of Sam s, with his permission, I am finally uncovering the CLASSIFIED information that to-date, has only been available to myself the BEST part being that now, to find all this out, you don t have to be Sam s best man at his wedding (like I was) to learn this. Take this journey with me to find out what exactly Sam has taught me and what I have done, that s seen me finally quit my job and live a life I love. Today I am going to show you the steps I took to go from working 8 to 5 for a regular income at a regular job, to financial independence and building a sustainable business online through sales. The upside to where I am now is not only one to do with money. My personal life and the freedom to earn an income anywhere I choose to be in the world has opened many doors, as I m sure the opportunity will open up for you as well if you follow exactly what I have been taught. I believe if you follow these steps below, you too can become independent from your job and lead a life you have always dreamed of living. What are you waiting for? Let s get started! Sam Robinson

Step one making the commitment Have you ever woken up one day, and decided today you are going to change the course of your life, but don t? I know many people who are stuck in the same situation. They want better, but never change. Think of the reasons why you need to change. Are you sick of the 9 to 5 job? Tired of working long hours to pay bills? So before you go on, I want you to honestly answer this question for yourself: are you ready to make a commitment to change? If your answer is YES!, then keep reading. If you re not at the stage yet, that s OK the 8-5 jobs will always be there, so put this book away and go back to work and re-visit this report once you re ready to take the leap of faith. And if you truly are ready, keep reading Are your personal relationships strained because you are constantly working or worrying about your future? You have to make the commitment to change. It s so obvious, but many people I now talk to, after almost seeing the light myself, I can see that while they talk about wanting to change something, they never actually take action.

Step two set some goals Ok, you ve heard it before. So I am not going to send you to school again on goal setting. What worked for me was minimizing my goals. I decided, at the end of Year One of Internet Marketing, $250,000 profit would make this worth my time, and set me up for bigger and better things in Year Two. Now how many of you can honestly sit down now and look at your job prospects for the next year and say I hope my boss pays me $250,000 this year? What a great prospect that would be, right? The best solution for me was to become my own boss! $250,000 seems like a lot, but let s break it down: $20k a month $4,800 a week Now we have something to aim towards and believe it or not, $4,800 a week is totally achievable. Now, you may want to take small steps like I did at first, and that s OK. But to keep you on track, I ve created the following worksheet for you to fill out right now before you go any further. Sit in a quiet place and truly think about each question being asked, because this will be your first step on your journey to financial and personal freedom to build the life you ve always wanted. Check out the next page, fill it out, and save that page in a safe place (or put it up in a visual place at home) and go back to it, after you ve taken the steps in this document to see what changes you ve made as a result. The changes may not seem big at first, but over time, as you gain more experience and start scaling up, I hope you keep sticking to your goals, and create new ones over time.

Right now, I have hours a day to make this happen That means I have hours a week hours a month And therefore hours a year If I follow this system, I will be making [Amount per year divided by amount of annual hours you can put in] $ per hour This is realistic for me. I want to be able to teach people to through online marketing. And if I dedicate my hours into the time I do have following this system, I believe that by [date] I would have achieved what I want. I am ready to do this.

Step three take action The hardest part when working a normal job and trying to break the cycle is taking action. But as little as one to two hours per day can make a difference. I began getting up at 5.30am every morning to give me a spare hour at the start of the day to do a few things before my wife woke up and started her day. This way it had minimal impact on my personal life and our routine. I also made sure my wife knew what I was up to, and would dedicate another hour in the evening to work towards my goal. You may have to get those close to you to buy into your goals. This helps with your own personal relationships when people realize they may have something to gain from your hard work. In my case, my wife realized there would be a net gain if I pulled this off. Instead of losing an hour with me a night in the short term, in the long term we would spend our days travelling together whilst earning an income greater than both our jobs put together. goals. You never know they may want to help as well, and that way, your goals can potentially be reached even faster. The most successful Internet Marketers online that I know to date, owe much of their success to the understanding of their wives, husbands, family and friends. You know how they say your net worth is the average of your five closest friends. If you find yourself in a group of friends who do not share the same goals, financials or understanding and support of your goals, Internet Marketing will prove to be an up-hill battle. You need to weigh up what s most important to YOU if you truly do decide to start this journey. Your next challenge to overcome is to tell those close to you that you love them. Explain to them what goals you set for yourself on the previous page, and get them to buy into your

Step four get set-up I will be straight up here to be effective you are going to have to spend some money. The idea is not novel to me I ve spent tens of thousands of capital start-up investment in the past, so I was sceptical in starting yet another venture that was going to leave me out of pocket. Luckily, Internet Marketing is different. I m not talking big amounts. $30 here, $10 there nothing close to the thousands I m used to in the usual brick-andmortar businesses, that you could relate to as well. Firstly, I decided on using a dedicated email account to handle my IM business. This makes it easy to manage aspects of my IM business from one hub when logging onto the server, or through the mail app on my laptop. The second thing I did was set up a new Facebook account, to keep my IM/Marketing separate from my personal one. It was a move I decided on for a few reasons: 1. I am quite low key, so most of my friends have no idea what I am doing. 2. Keeps people out of the most intensely personal part of my life. 3. Creates a clear line between being on Facebook for personal reasons, or work reasons. This enhances my productivity. 4. Makes it easier to communicate with JVs and customers, without it all getting lost in my conversations with close friends and family. The fourth thing I did was sign up at JV Zoo (http://www.jvzoo.com) as a platform to sell and promote my products from. There are other platforms out there to do this on however I found JVZoo to be simple and easy to use. Next up number five, I joined Paypal (www. paypal.com) to receive payments and withdraw money from. Sixth on the list create a Skype account. You might want to run this off your current account, or if you are like me and are keeping personal/work separate, create a new Skype account for your IM efforts. Number seven I set myself up on Aweber (www.aweber.com) to manage my list of subscribers, and send them special offers and continue the stream of sales a between launching products. This will cost a small amount of money to run month to month, but the money you make off your list will eclipse the small amount you have to spend to subscribe. Finally, I signed up to Camtasia. This was a move inspired by Sam who tends to create his own videos for affiliate promotions (that I ll talk about a bit later). It s impossible to be a faceless, voiceless Internet Marketer if you truly want to achieve your goals, so you must make recordings and videos every now and then. Thirdly I joined Warrior Forum (www. warriorforum.com) to see what s out in the market place, and get an insight into the minds of people likely to buy my products.

Step five network Great! You are all set up with the essential tools. I am quite fortunate in that away from the IM world, Sam Bakker is a close friend of mine and he was happy to introduce me to many others in the industry. However I have found most people in the Internet Marketing game are quite approachable and will work with you, even more so if there is something in it for them. I would suggest connecting with them on Facebook and Skype, and introduce yourself, and what you plan on doing and what you can offer. Remember: everyone is looking at it from the perspective of What s in it for me if I connect with this person? So give them a reason to connect with you. You may want to offer time to help them create content for sales pages, help make bonus pages, or tell them you re launching a product that will be valuable for them to promote or anything else! Reach out and offer to help or just connect with them on a friendly personal level and ask them if they have any training programs they have done that you can buy or look over. You might end up getting something for free! Now the connection in made. Once you are into the real work of launching products and mailing for products, you will end up counting on these people. One thing to note: take this as a networking activity as if you were right there in the same room as them. Everyone is sick of the tired spammy MLM connections (which you re not doing, but it s easy to make yourself seem like it). Offer value for the connection, and always do right by your connections. Just because you can t see them in person, doesn t mean they re not real so ensure you treat them with respect and do good by them, and it will come back to you ten-fold.

Step six Create a product Now you are going to need a product to take to the world, mostly for two reasons: to get your name out there, and to create your first list of customers. Through teaming up and working with Sam Bakker I learnt the basics of some of the jigsaw required to launch a product. When it came to the Christmas period, typically quiet on the IM front Sam and I began talking about launching a product. For my first launch, I didn t even develop a single software or create any one specific thing. We spoke to people we had networked with and got them to donate one product each to create a massive bundle to sell. As you could imagine combining a quiet time of the year, with a bundle of unbeatable value we had affiliates queuing up to promote our product. Guess what? It easily cleared five figures. Not bad for bundling together donations from various people in the industry, right? Now I am onto my second product, which I am creating through developers which are a combination of friends and specialists on odesk. So come up with a concept, develop a product (as with my first launch, you don t even have to spend money) and before you know it you will be well on your way to making some serious cash.

Step seven mailing your list Through the payments coming into your Paypal account you will be able to get a list of email addresses of the people who bought your product. Export these into your Aweber account, and now you have a list of customers who trust you, your product and have bought from you before. All going well in your first launch, you will have various industry people contacting you to promote their products. If you want to get started get onto the launching calendar platform www.muncheye.com and look for launches coming up that are a similar niche to what you just launched. My initial launch gave me a list of about 650 email addresses. And the first thing I did with it was promote an ebook product that was coming out not too long after my launch. Now, as my list gets more used to me mailing, if I mail every two days, it will typically give me a weekly income of around $500-700. Mailing consumes maybe an hour to 1.5hours of my time per mail out. So for 3-6 hours of work per week I make $500-700. Remember my goal of $4,800 per week, doesn t seem too far away if I can expand my list by 6-7 times to be 3,900 people. That isn t a long term goal for me; it s more of a shortmedium term goal. To give you an idea of the earning potential of mailing, I know people with over 75,000 people on various lists. That s 10x more than me! I ll let you do the math on the earning potential! How much money do you think I made off that? $350. I literally spent about one hour compiling a page together, sent two emails to announce the launch, and after the first day, the money was in my account. Not bad.

Step eight - building the list and keeping it happy For all my mailings I strive to offer my clients the best value of anyone else who may be promoting the same thing. Through networking you can pick up bonuses to offer to your clients, so they get more for their money. If you keep offering them unbeatable value they will keep buying that s a fact! Don t make the crucial mistake of promoting every single offer that comes out. Your list will grow tired of it, and you will lose credibility very quickly (which is very hard to get back!). Any emails I receive from a customer, who may be having trouble with this or that, I respond to personally and I take 10mins of my day to find a solution for them. Those same customers will continue to buy as they know that they will get a better service from you. To build your list there are many great ways to do it. You could create another product, run a podcast and gain subscribers (how I first started building a list with Sam Bakker) or review products and have people subscribe to your reviews. All of these are current techniques used by some of the most successful people in the industry. So why shouldn t it work for you? Start brainstorming about what you can do to ensure you are always thinking about the next launch or product you can bring out to the public. Internet Marketing, while it has many advantages, still requires your dedication as if it was your full time job (because over time, it will be!).except one where you re your own boss and can scale and earn as much as YOU wish.

Step nine maintain relationships with JVs and Affiliates I have mailed for people before then never heard from them. However, as soon as they have another launch on, they re sending me generic messages on Skype begging me to mail for them again. Don t be that guy. Maintain contact and friendship with those that have supported you and put belief in you from the beginning. Remember those leads you gained when people mailed for you? You wouldn t have them if they didn t mail in the first place! If there are two launches happening on the same day, I will always mail for the person who mails for me, or who I chat with regularly. Why? The answer is not nepotism, it starts long before you get to this stage. Your networking should involve only people with a good reputation in the market place, who will always do right by their customers and JVs, and that s the simple truth. Maintaining relationships isn t hard, and by having a good strong network you will be able to nail launch after launch, then follow that up with some income by mailing. Reach out, offer to help and always be willing to return the favour. Because without these guys, your product won t reach anyone and you will be back at your 8-5 job before you know it!

Step ten keep disciplined but have fun! It s exciting being in control of your own future, so by all means have fun and look after your mental health. The reality is that there s going to be some late nights and hurdles to cross. But knock out each small task and before you know it you will be so far up the road you will look back and remember those early days. I have to admit, juggling full time work with getting this off the ground required discipline and drive to take action. However now nearly four months later I look at how far I have come, and I am incredibly excited about where the next year will take me. Believe me when I say, time flies and will wait for no one. So have fun, take action and treat this as your ticket onwards and upwards to give you the freedom to control your destiny!
