Facebook Research Project: User Guide
Facebook Live LuLaRoe is a woman s clothing company that creates one of a kind pieces. LuLaRoe exists to provide an opportunity for people to create freedom by selling comfortable, affordable, stylish clothing, and offering its Retailers the independence to set their own pace and schedule (LuLaRoe, 2017). Because each retailer is independent, LuLaRoe uses a multi-level marketing strategy to sell its product. One tactic that fashion consultants use is Facebook Live. Consultants reach out to their followers to inform them of a Facebook Live Sale. Standing in front of their webcam or ipad camera lens, consultants hold up each new item one-by-one and describe the adorable print, soft texture and cute style. Each product has its own unique number for reference. When customers see something they want, they type Sold and the item number (pictured right) in the comments to claim it. After each live-stream
sale, consultants take note of who ordered what and invoice them (Turner). Consultant Lauren Romero shares her success story She began using Facebook Live in October 2016 to save time when taking and uploading photos to albums on her page. She has noted that her sales have more than doubled - from $20,000 per month to $50,000 per month (Saunders, 2017). Romero states, there s something about the impulsivity and not knowing what s coming next that s made people jump on this type of sale platform (Saunders, 2017).
