THE STORY By Ashley Peter 14 year old Annie is on her way to spend the weekend with her father, Bruce, when she realizes she s taken her mother s laptop. Seeing as how Annie believes her mother, Michelle, is the root of all evil she was the one who pushed for a divorce from Bruce, she was the one who uprooted Annie to a new state and school, she was the one who said bangs was a good idea having a personal entryway into the life of Michelle seems like the perfect way for Annie to finally get her revenge. GENRE: Comedy AUDIENCE: Ages 12-49 FORMAT: Feature Film or Web Series SCREEN REALITY: This entire film takes place on Michelle s computer from Annie s POV.
ANNIE, 14, is a bright kid going through a lot of change. Within a year, her parents have gotten divorced and she s moved from New Jersey to Florida (ugh, the worst). Annie doesn t know the details of why her parents split but she s almost certain it has everything to do with her mother. Her father, on the other hand, well, Annie wants to be just like him when she grows up. I wish I had the mom from that movie The Blind Side. She seems cool.
MICHELLE, late 40s, is Annie s mother. She s a psychiatrist and is trying her hardest to juggle everything in hopes of not having her daughter s world turned upside down. BRUCE, 50s, Annie s father, is still living in NJ, he unarguably has it easier than Michelle. That s not to say he isn t a good man. He is. He s just better at change. TRINITY, 14, is Annie s best friend from New Jersey. She believes she s had more life experience than her friends, so she s quick to give sassy-ass advice. LINDSEY, 14, is Annie s other best friend from New Jersey. Lindsey is a bit more reserved than Trinity but is still on board with Annie seeking revenge.
MICHELLE, YOUR itunes RENTAL OF SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE HAS EXPIRED. THE PLOT ACT ONE: Once ANNIE powers up the laptop, it doesn t take her too long to figure out her mother s password. The instant she s in, she s flooded with all things MICHELLE. We gather from ical that Michelle is busy at a work event and won t have the opportunity to reprimand Annie. Also in Michelle s calendar is a reminder that Annie will be with her father, BRUCE. All Annie wants is for her life to go back to the way it was before -- when her parents were together, when she was going to the same school as her friends. When Annie goes onto one of her favorite real estate web-sites, however, she discovers her worst nightmare. FOR SALE. Annie s house the one she shared with both her mother and father is on the market. Annie Google Hang-Outs with her two besties LINDSEY and TRINITY. She tells them about the lap-top swap. SCORE! They give Annie some ideas as to how to get revenge on Michelle for putting the house up for sale. But in addition to their ideas, Annie has a grand scheme. She wants to bridge her parents relationship back together. She begins texting Bruce as Michelle and soon enough, Annie gets some insight into their relationship. Remind me, why did we break up again? ACT TWO: Pretending to be Michelle, Annie has begun accepting incoming calls from Michelle s CLIENTS. She s totally pulling it off and the clients suspect nothing! When one call ends, Annie gets a response from Bruce. What s going on with you? Is this because I m introducing Annie to Courtney this weekend? WTF! Another woman? Annie gets an idea that will allow her to spend more time with Bruce and persuade him to dump this Courtney character. But first another client call. This time, Annie behaves very differently. Later, a notification stops Annie dead in her tracks. Annie s old house SOLD. And what s more: an email from Michelle s boss! There s been a patient complaint filed against Michelle. ACT THREE: Annie has to clean up her mess. She realizes that she s never going to get her original life back together but she decides that her life before this disaster wasn t that bad. Plus, she s a little sick of having to pretend to be her mother. Annie texts her father and explains that it s been her the entire time. She apologizes and even says that she d like to meet Courtney. Annie then writes back to Michelle s boss and tells her that the situation is not Michelle s fault; she shouldn t be the one who gets punished. And now the big one Annie FaceTimes Michelle. She admits everything. They have it out - releasing all their pent up tension. All Annie can do is apologize. All this time she thought that her parents should get back together. But it s evident they shouldn t. All this time, she thought Michelle wasn t on her side. But she s wrong. Michelle is very much on her side. In fact, she s always been on her side.

When one is finally made, they do particularly well in the box office. For instance, this year s hit: Girls Trip. With a 19MM budget, Girls Trip brought in 105MM domestically. Wonder Woman, another female lead, was made for $109MM and brought in $404MM, becoming the second highest grossing film in 2017. There are many varieties of body swap movies, however, films which focus on a swap with a young protagonist seem to do much better financially, than say a body swap with an animal. Given the research, a body swap between humans is imaginative enough. Swapping with anything else may lose credibility with the audience. #FBF has all the right ingredients for marketing towards families and teenagers, specifically females.
