The group will meet the first day of each month. The mission is to create a social setting where busy women who run small businesses can casually network and get to know each other. In the light of service, The Farm In Harmony will now be offering FREE Yoga Classes specially designed for Military Veterans and their families. This class will be a place where you can come to learn through experience, the benefits of a regular yoga practice including peace of mind, improved physical health and overall wellbeing. Learn the ancient techniques of the Yoga Warrior by conquering your own inner world. Tendencies toward worry, anger or depression are replaced with positive attitudes by cultivating freedom, courage and acceptance available in the present moment, by connecting and tuning in to each breath. 1

Classes will be held outdoors in the peaceful, natural backdrop of The Farm in Harmony every other week starting May 7th, 2018 and will be held from 5:30-6:30pm. No prior experience required. Classes will be taught by Certified Yoga Instructor Mary Walker - wife of a USMC Veteran, Wayne Golden who will also be attending and leading guided meditation at the end of each class. Mary is also Mom to 1-year old son, Caleb and owner of M-Power Yoga (www.m-poweryoga.com). Yoga mats and props will be provided. (Bringing your own if you have will help us accommodate more people.) Saturday, May 12, 9:00 am-12:00 pm Beginner Quilting Classes: Shapes The Rail Fence Rail Fence is a perfect block design that allows the beginner to build their sewing and quilting skills easily, while creating fun and easy to follow patterns. This is part of a series of beginner quilting classes that will teach three foundation skills necessary in any quilt pattern. By learning these techniques for creating the different shapes, the student s ability to successfully create block units to size is significantly improved. Each class requires common sewing supplies such as scissors, thread, seam ripper, pins etc. and a sewing machine in good working order that the student knows how to operate. Material List will be provided upon sign up. Pre-registration is required. Your finished 6-inch diameter wreath will be the perfect addition to your summer decor! Perfect size for around a candle to make a centerpiece. Saturday, June 9, 9:00-11:00 am Beginner Quilting Classes: Build a Quilt Sandwich This is part of a series of beginner quilting classes. Now that you have learned three basic shapes in quilts and block building its time to put it all together in a quilt sandwich. This class will show you the layering of the three pieces that go into the assembly of the quilt. Learn about properly basting and pinning the quilt as well as tying of the quilt sandwich. Pre-registration is required. Classes are non-refundable. Finally you are ready to finish your first quilting project. This class covers the creation and application of binding or outer edge of the quilt. The binding is applied to the front of the quilt by machine and to the back of the quilt by hand. Students will learn the blind stitch, a method for hiding those stitches when attaching the binding on the back. Pre-registration is required. Classes are non-refundable. This first get together on June 26 will be an introductory session. This will give girls opportunity to decide if they want to commit to the program for the remainder of the summer on Tuesdays for 8 weeks. Trainees will be given basic training in craft making, sewing fashion accessories, caring and entrepreneurship. There is no cost for Part 1 (5 weeks) of this course and supplies will be provided. Sweat equity is required, not optional. If one wishes to use materials for their own craft there is a small fee to cover the costs. A nominal fee is charged to cover the cost of Part 2 of this course where teams of girls select projects to teach, create and market. Learn the ancient techniques of the Yoga Warrior by conquering your own inner world. Tendencies toward worry, anger or depression are replaced with positive attitudes by cultivating freedom, courage and acceptance available in the present moment, by connecting and tuning in to each breath. Classes are FREE and require no prior experience. They will be held outside in the peaceful natural backdrop of The Farm in Harmony every other week starting May 7th, 2018 and will be held from 5:30-6:30pm. Classes will be taught by Certified Yoga Instructor Mary Walker wife of a USMC Veteran, Wayne Golden who will also be attending and lead guided meditation at the end of each class. Yoga mats and props will be provided. (Bringing your own if you have will help us accommodate more people.) Comfortable, layered clothing and a water bottle is recommended.
