Data-driven decision support in real-time R&D tender conference Oslo, 8.April 2019
Effective interaction Digital technology is vital in order to exploit the opportunities, and there will be a need to develop solutions for effective interaction and sharing of data across players in and outside the industry. A common information model is discussed by the industry. What will be required in order to be successful and put it into use? Fremtiden er elektrisk 27 Sted, dato
The Nordic Balancing Model (NBM) is under development in order to handle larger and faster imbalances in the power system and to enable the exchange of balancing energy and capacity in the Nordic region and Europe. Large-Scale automation will put stringent demands on us as TSOs, and there will be a need to explore various challenges in forecasting, bottleneck control, automation and robustness/error management. Fremtiden er elektrisk 28 Sted, dato
Cyber Security is well rooted in our strategy. Increased amount of data, automation and advanced ICT systems should not compromise the security of supply. It is necessary to have a clear picture of the threats and opportunities that the new tools and methods introduce, and hence we anticipate proposals that will help us predict, detect, prevent and respond. Fremtiden er elektrisk 29 Sted, dato
Use of data across domains has a great potential for new insights and synergies. How can data from Building Information Modelling (BIM) create added value when correlated with observations (field measurements) and data from the power system? Fremtiden er elektrisk 30 Sted, dato
Human-machine interface is an important success criterion for operation control centers when facing more complex and increased data. The introduction of new digital tools will increase efficiency and user satisfaction, provide a better overview, less errors and better interaction with monitoring and control systems. We believe methods and simulation tools for recognizing tomorrow's challenges within the area of monitoring and control are important research and development areas. Fremtiden er elektrisk 31 Sted, dato
Probabilistic methods and quantification of risk will play an important role in the intelligent energy system of the future, where the system itself will analyse and understand the underlying vulnerabilities and risks with regards to the security of supply. How can we quantify risk and how to exploit quantifiable risk in a future digital energy system? Fremtiden er elektrisk 32 Sted, dato
Future Asset Management requires data-driven tools that can support us in planning maintenance and reinvestment strategies in a future digital energy system. This entails functionality such as automatic classification of criticality based on real-time data from system operation and asset management. It also entails simulation of the effect possible maintenance and reinvestment strategies and plans can have on the assets reliability, availability and risk. Fremtiden er elektrisk 33 Sted, dato

Digital, safe and cost effective systems R&D tender conferance Oslo, 8.April 2019
Digital, safe and cost effective systems Statnett would like to develop products and solutions as well as generate knowledge that opens up new possibilities, strengthens HSE, increases utilisation and longevity and contributes to a more digital system. Also supported are technologies and methods for use when reinvesting in existing systems. This year of special interest are proposals for projects related to condition monitoring and assessment of primary components, automated and robotic solutions that improve safety together with all projects that can help make Statnett as cost effective as possible. The future is electric 36
Strategic competence in primary components and external influences: We are interested in technology that can help us monitor and assess the condition of system components in order to more accurately estimate expected life expectancy, monitor fault development, lengthen life expectancy and generally enable more effective asset management. The future is electric 37
Digital systems: Statnett is actively working on the digitisation of data collected from systems and the real time processing of this data. We are therefore looking for proposals that can contribute to this work. One goal of digitisation, among other things, is to increase the level of automated condition monitoring of system components. This can be realised in a range of ways including: data acquisition and processing, to the use of digital twins and the improvement of system models. The future is electric 38
Personnel safety and new technology: Statnett has major development and refurbishment projects happening across the country in addition to maintenance work. We have a zero injury philosophy and are therefore interested in technology, technical solutions and methods that can help make the workplace as safe as possible. An example could be the use of a robot; another example could be the development of new work methods and barriers. We are also interested in technologies that can make our construction and refurbishment projects cheaper, faster, better and more environmentally friendly. The future is electric 39
Summary Important to send your Project proposals within the closing time. Use the portal given in the homepage You shall include only 2 two documents: Template for project proposals Template Tender letter Closing time is 30.4.2019.
