New Jeweler Checklist Congratulations and welcome to the start of your new business! Here is a checklist to help you get off to an incredible beginning! Jeweler #: Password: Training Show Date: Practice Show Date: 1 st Show Date: Quick Start Deadline: QS6: QS9: QS12: Joan s Rookie Team Deadline: WHY I Started My Own Premier Business: It is my goal to do shows/month to bring in $ /month. My Sponsor s Info: Name: Phone: Email: Completed TO DO LIST: Set a date for your training show with your Premier Mom! (Within 30 days of receiving your jeweler number) Set a date for your practice show Goal is to have your practice show within 3 days from your training show. This show can be a Mystery Hostess show which means one of the guests there will win the free jewelry at the end! Set a date also for your First Show lined up this week as well! Talk to your Premier Mom for more details on these 3 parties in your first week of business. Work on your invitations and guest list. Aim for 40-60 invites for your training show. It sounds like a lot, but invite EVERYONE- No one is ever insulted with an invite. 1 out of 4 people invited will be able to make it! Don t forget all your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, significant other s friends and family, your acquaintances through your children. The more the better!!! Talk to your Premier Mom about invitation ideas. Some sample wording you could include in your invitations: You re invited to my DEBUT as I become a jewelry stylist with Premier Designs! I m very excited and would LOVE for you to join me at my home for a FUN & FABULOUS time of jewelry, food, and prizes! I ll even show you how you can get a TON of FREE jewelry! Feel free to being a friend or two!! *Keep extra invites in your purse, because you never know who you will run into. *Include your WHY on your invites as they will want to support you! Start booking home shows for right after the date of your training show. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOUR TRAINING SHOW TO START BOOKING. GOAL: BOOK/HOLD 6 SHOWS WITHIN 45 DAYS FROM YOUR TRAINING SHOW! BOOK/HOLD AN ADDITIONAL 3 SHOWS 60 DAYS FROM YOUR TRAINING SHOW! BOOK/HOLD AN ADDITIONAL 3 SHOWS 90 DAYS FROM YOUR TRAINING SHOW!

*You must complete Quick Start 6 in order to achieve Quick Start 9 and you must achieve Quick Start 6 and 9 to complete Quick Start 12! **Be sure to check out your Track to Success guide that will come in your New Jeweler Kit to help you stay on track! As you talk to your friends and family members about your new business, whether or not they can come to your training show, let them know that you would love to do a show for them and they will earn FREE jewelry. *Refer to the Verbiage for Quick Start Bookings handout to help you. (Verbiage attached as well All the hostess has to pay for is the tax on her free jewelry and $4 shipping! You also want your friends and family members to know about your first goal in Premier: Quick Start because they can help you make it! QuickStart is designed for new jewelers to help you get off to a great start by not only paying off your investment but also a profit AND helping you earn FREE jewelry at the same time! -When you hold 6 shows within 45 days from your training show (your training show does not count), you will earn a $200 retail jewelry certificate from Premier! 6 shows in 45 days! -When you hold a total of 9 shows within 60 days from your training show (your training show does not count), you will earn an additional $100 retail jewelry certificate from Premier! An additional 3 shows before your 60 th day for a total of 9 shows. -When you hold a total of 12 shows within 90 days from your training show (your training show does not count), you will earn an additional $100 retail jewelry certificate from Premier! *REMEMBER: You must complete one level to go on to the next. An additional 3 shows before your 90 th day for a total of 12 shows. That is $400 in jewelry!!!!!! START BOOKING YOUR SHOWS NOW! *For shows to count for Quick Start they don t have to be in the computer by your deadline, just held and dated by the deadline!* Invite people to your Practice Show When people RSVP no to your training show invite them to your Practice Show. Say, That s not a problem! I am having a practice show on. I d love for you to come over so I have some people to practice my new business on. I m also giving away all the free jewelry to a lucky guest. Can you come? Bring friends too! Goal: Get at least $100 in advance sales! When someone RSVP s that they cannot make it to your training show, be sure to ask them if they would like to look at the catalog and place an order. Open a separate personal checking account to run your business. You do not need a business account and most banks charge for this. A personal checking account is perfect!

Order your business cards! Vistaprint.com is a great website to start with because you can receive 250 business cards for FREE (just have to pay for shipping)! Check it out! Premier Designs Incentives also has business cards! You can find Premier Designs Incentives on the Premier Designs website. Go to: My Account, then Preferred Vendors, then Premier Designs Incentives. It s always a good idea to see your Premier Mom/Sponsor s business card first, but here is some wording to help! FOR THE FRONT Premier Designs High Fashion Jewelry, Your name, Jewelry Stylist, your phone number and email. Some people also like to put their address on the front of their business cards. ON THE BACK One option is to put our Hostess Plan or you can make the back look like a $10 gift card (research shows women do not like to throw away gift cards) If you did not get the My Premier Boutique visit the Premier Incentive Store to purchase a cloth for your jewelry display (or any fabric that works for you). You can also purchase your jewelry trays, tray inserts and any other display items. You can find all of this under displays. Save ALL of Your Receipts!!!! Purchase some type of organizer that has sections for sorting your receipts. Check out, Tax information for my business, in the organizational ideas section. Also, it s a good idea to get a mileage log for your car to begin tracking your mileage! Check out the Premier Designs Website! Here are some important sections to get familiar with on Premier s site: Under My Account Ordering Status is the place to check on your kit. Messages will allow you to see all emails from Premier. You can also find out more information about the Jeweler s Reward Card, My Personal Webpage (to set up your online catalog), and change your personal information (address, phone number, and email) where it says My Profile. Ordering/Products This is where you will put in all of your orders, returns, and exchanges! Promotions Take a look at our current Promotions! Resources This tab is also great because there are training documents to help you build your business! Training You can check out video & audio Trainings. My Premier Awards Take a look at the different awards you can achieve in your business and be recognized for! This will keep track of it for you & an easy place to check your status on how you are doing! Go to Serve-Us-Store on Premier s website (Log into your Premier account and go to Ordering/Products, then Online Order, followed by Serve-Us-Store Order) and order extra catalogs (one dozen comes with your kit). You will be distributing 1-2 catalogs to each person that books a jewelry show at your training show & future shows. So it will be helpful to have extra catalogs! Item number is: #9836 and you can determine how many catalogs you would like to purchase.

Some other purchases that can be helpful now are: Spring Line or Holiday Line brochures (depending on time of year) Jewelry Show Planner: (Hostess Packets-10) #995 $4.00 Jewelry Show Postcard Invitations if you plan to use: #1185 $2.50 per pkg. 25 per pkg. Customer Order Forms #107 $3.50 (pkg. of 50) If you did not purchase the My Premier Boutique you will want to purchase: A ring sizer #1232 $12.00 On the Go Jewelry Tote #91676 $29.00 Price Tags Under Business Builders on Premier Incentives Black or White Earring Cards Black #231 $1.50 (pkg. of 6) White #91711 $3.00 (pkg. of 12) Trays for your Jewelry Tote as mentioned above through Premier Incentives. Set up an account to accept credit card payments. Premier partners with Propay. Propay has fantastic customer service and we highly suggest using them. Login to Premierdesigns.com and go to the My Account tab, then go to Preferred Vendors and find Propay. Propay cost $39.95 (you can pay in full or in 3 payments) Go to https://epay.propay.com/rebate/for information on how you can receive a $29.95 rebate back! Square.com is another option to take credit cards. Again, talk to your Premier mom for help on this decision. To help make things easier we would suggest ordering two self inking stamps for your business. 1) The first one is all of the information that you would stamp onto your customer and hostess receipts (Name, Email Address, Phone Number & Jeweler Number) HAVING A STAMP SAVES A LOT OF TIME! 2) The second one is for the bank. You never have to sign your checks again!! It's awesome especially when you have two or three jewelry shows in one weekend. *You won t use this stamp as often, but it is convenient! You can find stamps at your local print shops or websites like Vistaprint.com. Some jewelers choose to print labels instead the choice is yours. Here s a list of extra items that you will need prior to your training show. Take a look around your house first, because you probably have most of these items. Planner (Calendar) Calculator Pens Money Bag (with change for people that pay cash- singles, fives, and coins) Mirror(s) 2 handheld mirrors work fine Ticket Roll & Bag/Basket to Collect Tickets (or you can print off diva dollars under Home show section Prizes (dollar store items are perfect or items from Premierdesignsincentives.com) When your jewelry kit arrives OPEN IMMEDIATELY & proceed with rest of checklist prior to your TRAINING SHOW! Save all of your boxes and plastic bags for future use!

Tag your jewelry If you didn t order the My Premier Boutique you can print labels off the Premier Website Resources Business Tools Jewelry Tag Labels. I use mini safety pins to attach the tags to the jewelry. Also, change all of the earring holders to the more professional ones (the plastic ones) given in your Premier Boutique. To label earrings, just stick the label on the back. Create labels and label the back of your catalogs with your information (Your Name, Jewelry Stylist, Your Phone Number, Email, personal website if you choose to get). You should also label all mini catalogs & opportunity brochures. (Stamp is an option too) Place labels Please Return Catalog to Jeweler or Show Copy Only! Please Don t Take! Thank You! on the front of your catalogs if you choose Stamp ALL pages of Customer Order Forms. 1 st copy of the receipt is kept by the jeweler & the 2 nd and 3 rd is for the customer. *If you do not have your stamp yet, you can handwrite or print labels and stick it on these pages! *For your training show, you should have 50 order forms ready (one package). Put at least 6 Hostess Packets together for your training show. Place the following inside each Hostess Envelope: 5 Customer orders forms & Advanced Sales Sheet for outside orders ** Hostess Benefit/MP sheet ** Did you invite FRANK** Hostess Letter** **You can find ideas for your hostess packets in the Hostess Information Section. Make sure you hostess coach (stay in contact with your hostess and share with her how she will earn free jewelry) Hostesses will most likely have leftovers that you can re-use letters, unused forms, extra postcards, etc. Try different jewelry combinations as you setup your display. Use the fabric, the jewelry trays, and picture inside your Premier Boutique to arrange your display PRIOR to your Premier Mom arriving for your training show. Go on YouTube to search for combination ideas too. Have extra catalogs, order forms, opportunity information in your car AT ALL TIMES. Make reminder calls two days before your training show. A good excuse to call is to remind everyone to wear a solid color shirt since it makes it easier to try on jewelry! Remind them to bring friends! Send them a cute reminder text! Keep food and drinks simple! You do not want people paying more attention to the food than to the jewelry. ALL ITEMS NEED TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO YOUR PREMIER MOM ARRIVING FOR YOUR TRAINING SHOW.

After Your Training Show (if you have not already) Collect the rest of your orders and set a date with your Premier Mom to submit your training show Fill out Training Show Verification -After you submit your training show order, you MUST fill out a quick survey (takes less than one minute). To find the survey log into your Premier account My Account Contracts/Renewal Training Show Verification Read all brochures and materials from your new jeweler kit as well as Andy Horner s book, By Chance or By Design Train yourself Begin by going on Premier s website to Trainings Click on video and audio training to help you! Hold a Mock Show for your Premier Mom. Make sure you have all training opportunity dates on your calendar Continue working on QuickStart 6, 9, and 12 as well as holding a total of 25 jewelry shows in your 1 st 180 days! Use page 14 & 15 of the It s a Premier Life Magazine to track your success and help you goal set. Call your Premier Mom and stay in close contact with her, especially after your first 12 shows. SAMPLE LETTER INVITE TO YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS: Dear Friends and Family, I am excited to announce that I am starting a new business with Premier Designs Jewelry! EXPLAIN WHY HERE. When I began thinking about launching my business, I immediately thought of you! I know each of you to be ladies who love having a fun time and know you would be a great hostess. Premier has a TERRIFIC hostess plan! If you would like to have fun and earn lots of free jewelry, I would love for you to schedule your jewelry show. As a hostess you will receive 30% of the retail sales in FREE jewelry as well as many other perks and benefits! My launch show will be on at pm and I sure hope you will be there to support me! There is no pressure to buy any jewelry, I d simply love to have you there! If you are interested in hosting a show, looking at a catalog, or hearing more information about Premier, please don t hesitate to call or email me. BOOKING VERBIAGE Hi it s (YOUR NAME), do you have a second? I won t keep you long, but I am actually calling to ask you for a HUGE favor. (PAUSE) I am starting a jewelry business with Premier Designs (TELL WHY). Here is my favor I need 2 friends who could let me come over, set my jewelry out on their kitchen table and invite a few friends over to play in the jewelry. It doesn t have to be a big deal, just you and a few friends. I can give you some jewelry just for helping me out what do you think? *IF SHE SAYS YES, continue with this Oh Wow, thank you so much!! I really appreciate it. Ok, the first 2 dates on my calendar I really need to fill are and. Could you look at those dates and see if either would work for you? (Friday, great!!
