DOUBLES WEEKEND EVENT-WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT? Age of Sigmar Doubles Weekend sees you team up with a gaming buddy for a weekend of doubles gaming. We are looking not only for great Generals who work well as a team but also who enjoy the hobby showcasing battlefield skill in a friendly manner but also all aspects of the hobby including painting and most sporting skills to crown our Age of Sigmar Doubles Champions. Prizes will be awarded not just for the skill on the battlefield but also for painting and sportsmanship. EVENT ESSENTIALS Date: 10th 11th June Times: Saturday 10:00am 8:00pm, Sunday 10:00am 6:00pm System: Warhammer Age of Sigmar Team Size: Two players (one ticket covers entry for both players). Army Size: 1000pts per person (for a team total of 2000pts). Note that you do not have to use the same army list all weekend, and are free to swap from game to game, provided the House Rules remain unbroken. Number of games: 5 Army Selection: Only warscrolls with a Pitched Battle Profile may be used at this event, which includes any new releases from Games Workshop which have a Pitched Battle Profile, Pitched Battle Profiles in the current General s Handbook and any Forge World warscrolls with a Pitched Battle Profile. Scenarios in use: Pitched Battle battle plans found on pages 110-115 of the current Generals Handbook. Publications in use: All Warhammer Age of Sigmar from Games Workshop including Black Library and White Dwarf. Forgeworld publications are in use and you will need a copy of the General s Handbook for this event. AGE OF SIGMAR HOUSE RULES: At this event, we will measure all distances between models using their bases as a reference point. This is commonly known as measuring base-to-base. You will not be allowed to be play with unpainted or unbased models. We will politely ask you to remove any such model from the table (what counts as painted and based is detailed later on in this pack). Each model you have in your army must accurately represent what is in your army list. There is room for discussion, but it must be made clear from the outset that we want it to be perfectly obvious to your opponent s what is on the table in front of them so bear that in mind when deciding what you want to bring, or what awesome conversions you are planning. We want to be as fair and as clear as possible, so please get in contact with us if you are not planning to use the models out of the box. We will have the final say on whether or not a model is suitable for use at Warhammer World. Any Forge World Warscroll or Warscroll Battalion with a Pitched Battle profile is fine to use at this event.

Therefore all miniatures in your collection must be Games Workshop miniatures and be fully assembled, painted and based. Each model must fully represent what you have presented on your army list (including all weapons and equipment). We will politely ask you to remove any models that don t meet these standards to protect everyone s experience. Furthermore, please contact us to let us know about any conversions or proxies you are planning on using, and provide us with photos of the models in question where possible. Don t worry, we fully appreciate awesome hobby skills and cool models, but we just want to make sure everything is super clear for your opponent and no confusion can arise during games WEEKEND GAMES The weekend will consist of five games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, each of which, you will have two and a half hours to play that round. Games will be played on a 6 x4 board and you will be matched against a random team to play against (in the unlikely event of a repeat match up please let a member of staff know as quickly as possible so that we can sort out a replacement team for you where possible). Each game we will be rolling for which mission we will be played using the Pitched Battle battleplans found on pages 110-115 of the current Generals Handbook.
THEMED GAMING TABLES Fighting rages all across the Mortal Realms from the Grand Numinous Occulum Project to the Ruined City of Hallowguild the Events Team have allocated Various Tables that will be provided with additional special rules representing special areas within the Mortal Realms being fought over. The Ruined City of Hallowguild: Increase the range of your general s command abilities by 4 The Forests of Black Hollow: Reduce the Bravery of any unit within 3 of a Black Hollow Forest by 1. This does not stack. The Stump Wall (and Plague Fly s) of Nurgle: All models within 3 of any terrain piece are at -1 to all hit rolls The Grand Numinous Occulum Project: Any Wizards in your army receive a +1 bonus to their rolls to cast spells as long as they are within 3 of a Numinous Occulum terrain piece. The Fortress Gate of Skull Keep: Each Player picks a unit at the start of the battle. The Unit does not take battle shock tests in that battle. FAVOURITE GAME VOTES Favourite Game Votes are simple - just pick the game you enjoyed the most at the event. It s a great way to acknowledge a really fun game, opponents with whom you had a great rapport, or maybe it was just that their army looked fantastic. Votes are taken at the end of the day with the results of your final game, so please show your appreciation of your favourite opponent as for each one of these awarded to a team gains them an additional 5 Event Points. The Team with the Highest number of Favourite game votes at the end of the Weekend will be Awarded the Most Sporting Team Award! EVENT SCORING SYSTEM: Note that if you are nominated for the Best Army award, you will automatically have a Best Painted (10 Event Points) added to your tally for the weekend. Each victory will be allocated certain value of Event Points. Your total Event Points will decide who wins the event overall. Major Win: 20 Event Points Minor Win: 13 Event Points Draw: 10 Event Points Minor Loss: 7 Event Points Major Loss: 0 Event Points Conceding: In the event you decide to concede the game, you will score 0 event points and your opponent will score a Major Win: 20 Event Points Best Painted Nomination: 10 Event Points Whoever has the highest amount of Event Points at the end of the event will win the event, as described below under the Awards section.
AWARDS Age of Sigmar Doubles Weekend Champions - This award will go to the Team who scores the most Event points over the weekend. In the event of a tie, the team with the highest number of Favourite game votes will be awarded Age of Sigmar Doubles Weekend Champions award. The Best Army - This award goes to the Team with the most votes from the Best Army painting competition. Most Sporting Team Award- This Award goes to the Team with the most Favourite game votes at the end of the weekend. In the event of a tie, the team with the highest number of Victory points will be awarded Most Sporting Champions award. OTHER ACTIVITIES DURING THE EVENT: LEGENDS PAINTING COMPETITIONS The Legends Painting competition gives you the chance to show off your skills with single models and units rather than with whole armies. Simply enter the relevant category when it s open; once all the entries are in, we will ask all the players to vote for their favourites. The player that earns the most votes in each category will win the relevant prize. Hero of Legend: Any single Battleline, Leader or uncategorised model on a 60mm base or less. Beast of Legend: Any Artillery model (plus any attendant crew) or any Model with the Monster keyword or Any Behemoth or Behemoth Leader model. Company of Legend: Any unit of 5 or less models on 60mm bases or less or on cavalry bases. THE BEST ARMY COMPETITION It s an honour for any team to have their armies nominated for the Best Army competition. Make sure you show your appreciation by voting for your favourite collection from those selected during Sunday lunch time. The team that receives the most number of votes will receive the Best Army award. YOUR MODELS Here at Warhammer World we have a set standard for all our gaming events that all models (including arms legs, parts and so on the whole model!) in your army are 100% Games Workshop, and that they are all fully painted and based. There are no exceptions to these rules!
CONVERSIONS AND PROXIES We often get asked if conversions and proxies are allowed at our events. The answer is yes but we need to check them first. Not every conversion or proxy is suitable for organised play, or for Warhammer World. For example, there is a difference between a Dracothian Guard model and a Vanguard-Palladors model and we would expect any player to use the correct one in any army they bring, for the sake of clarity and to prevent any confusion on the part of their opponent. If you are in any way unsure, consult our handy flowchart below: Are you planning to use conversions or proxies of any kind (aka. anything other than the stock model)? YES! YOUR TICKET- WHAT YOU GET/WHAT IT COVERS Your ticket to this event covers entry for you to this event. At the heart of the event are five games of Age of Sigmar, played over two days (Saturday morning through to Sunday evening). These five games will see you play against like minded players. There are lots of things to aim for, from painting competitions to gaming awards. It s all to play for, and most importantly, for fun - so don t take things too seriously! Finally, you will be served a tasty hot lunch on Saturday and Sunday. CODE OF CONDUCT Here at Warhammer World we expect everyone to use fully painted and assembled models and to treat everyone they encounter with civility and respect. This is just as true during your games - especially at a Doubles Weekend where the objective is not to smash your opponent s to a pulp every game but instead to enjoy a great game and spend time with quality, like-minded people.
