Witness the Convergence of Innovation, Quality, and Style 4MEGAPIXEL COMPACT DIGITAL CAMERA Two world s first features, one simple truth: Stunning digital images have never been easier to capture. Just imagine, razorsharp shots with the touch of a button. Moving subjects kept in focus. And exposure adjusted automatically to match the scene. Shot after shot, you ll get images so crisp that you won t want to delete any. And flexible creative control? There s plenty of that, too. The DiMAGE F100. Incredibly light yet amazingly powerful.

There s Far More to Ima ge Quality Than Resolution Alone Highly detailed 4-megapixel images The DiMAGE F100 brings you rich, detailed images through its 4.0 effective megapixels. At this level of resolution, you can transform your shots into photo-quality prints that are larger than a postcard. You can even get clear B4-size enlargements (approx. 38.5 x 29 cm, 150 dpi). Minolta CxProcess for clearer colours Heightened colour clarity is the key benefit of Minolta CxProcess, an exclusive image processing technology that optimises colour, contrast, and other factors. As a result, you get clear and natural-looking images that more faithfully reflect the way the scenes you re capturing appear to you. High-precision Minolta GT Lens (38 114mm*) The product of Minolta s optical expertise, the Minolta GT Lens maximises the performance of the camera s 4.13 megapixel CCD. It s a central component of cameras developed for the Superior Image Quality concept, and it works to suppress chromatic aberration and reduce distortion along the outer parts of an image. The GT Lens designation is given only to a lens design that passes the strictest quality standards. * 35mm film camera equivalent Greater colour detail from 12-bit A/D 12-bit A/D conversion leads to images with extremely smooth gradations and enhanced shadow area detail. The DiMAGE F100 can reproduce 4,096 hues in each colour channel, which is much more refined than conventional 10- bit data (1,024 hues).

Innovative Technology Provides Accurate Imaging with Ease The world s first Area AF with Subject Tracking AF Just press the shutter button to capture a sharp, satisfying image no focus lock is required. Minolta s Area AF uses an extrawide focusing area and high-precision algorithm to keep things remarkably easy. And you ll never miss a great shot, either, because it s the world s first* Area AF with Subject Tracking AF. This feature detects the movement of your subject within the autofocus area, and changes the active focusing block to keep the subject in focus. It starts automatically with a half-press of the shutter button. * First among digital cameras with a built-in lens as of May 1, 2002. Automatic Digital Subject Program Selection Optimum exposure in different situations? Let the DiMAGE F100 handle that for you. Its Automatic Digital Subject Program Selection included for the first time in a digital camera calculates exposure and shutter speed to match the type of scene you are shooting. This feature is operative when the camera is set to Auto, and it displays an icon to tell you which mode is active: Portrait, Night portrait, Landscape, Sunset, or Sports action. Macro mode (manual setting) is additionally provided. Portrait Macro Sunset Wide 7.5X zoom (3X optical & 2.5X seamless digital) A wide zoom range offers you added flexibility in composing your shots. The 3X optical zoom shifts seamlessly into digital zoom, which extends the overall range to 7.5X. 3x 7.5x Optical zoom Digital zoom

Diverse Adjustment Too ls Give You Total Creative Control PASM exposure settings Variable exposure comes in four types. Program (P) mode leaves everything to the camera, while Aperture-priority (A) lets you alter depth of field to create attractive portraits and landscape images. With shutter-priority (S), you can change shutter speeds as you like, and the camera will calculate the optimum exposure for you. Manual (M) mode gives you control over both shutter speed and aperture. Digital Effects Control (DEC) Take advantage of DEC to get the special look you have in mind. DEC lets you adjust contrast, saturation, and exposure compensation prior to image capture, and you can confirm the effect on the LCD. Saturation: Low Exposure bracketing Capture a series of exposures with each shot to make sure you re getting the image you most desire. Bracketing is selectable from +/- 0.3, 0.5, or 1.0 EV. Spot metering Ensure good exposures when the background is very dark or light by switching to spot metering, so that the camera measures light in a specific part of your subject. -1 0 +1 Adjustable ISO settings Sensitivity, yet another creative variable, can be switched from Auto to any of these ISOequivalent settings: 100, 200, 400, or 800. White balance In addition to auto white balance, four preset modes are provided: daylight, cloudy, tungsten, and fluorescent. You can also customise white balance to match your light source. Normal High Bulb shooting The slow shutter function allows you to capture images with interesting effects, such as flowing light trails taken against a dark background. Diverse Three Colour Modes The DiMAGE F100 comes equipped with three selectable colour modes: Natural Colour, Vivid Colour, and Black & White. Natural Colour Vivid Colour Black & White

Speed, Comfort, and Ad ded Convenience You re Sur e to Enjoy Comfortable operation The DiMAGE F100 offers speedy and stress-free operation at each step. Startup requires less than 3.5 seconds (approx.). When shooting, focusing is done quickly and there s just a very short interval between shots (approx. 0.35 second). Ergonomic design The lightweight, compact, and level contour body of the DiMAGE F100 makes it easy to carry around and easy to hold as you re shooting. What s more, the smart layout of the various controls keeps operation intuitive and comfortably simple. Movie recording Record movies with audio up to 35 seconds long, and watch them on the LCD monitor or your TV (using the included AV cable). Audio recording Record up to half an hour of audio data. Or, using Voice Memo, add audio captions (5 or 15 seconds long) to your shots a handy way to keep track, for example, of when and where you captured a particular image. Other convenient features E-mail Copy, a function that resizes captured images for delivery as e-mail attachments File formats: Exif 2.2, TIFF, Motion JPEG (MOV) with audio, DCF 1.0-compliant, DPOFcompliant (DPOF supports printing functions from version 1.1) Print output control: PRINT Image Matching, Exif Print User-selectable control sounds for various operations, like the shutter click of a Minolta SLR or the nostalgic Minolta CLE Self-timer (10 seconds) USB interface SD Memory Card and MultiMediaCard compatibility DiMAGE Viewer utility software for easy image editing Names of Parts Self-timer / Remote-control lamp Remote-control receiver Card-slot door Battery-chamber door Tripod socket Focus lamp (green) Flash lamp (orange) Digital-Subject-Program Selection button Menu button LCD monitor QV / Delete button Data panel Speaker Microphone Viewfinder Flash-mode / Information button Display button Flash Viewfinder window Exposure-compensation button Controller Power/ Access lamp Terminal cover (Inside) - DC terminal - AV-out / USB terminal Shutter-release button Mode dial (main switch)
