TeeJay Publishers Curriculum for Excellence Course Planner - Early Level To help schools develop their courses, TeeJay Publishers has produced a Course Planner for CfE Early Level. This Planner from TeeJay provides substance to what the content of each level includes, and gives an indication as to what is required at that level, with some basic examples where necessary. It provides the basis of a course based on TeeJay s Booklets A1 - A12 and includes a final column which will allow planners to list practical activities, ICT Resources and specific methodologies. (These can be typed into the boxes provided). Note :- All of the work for CfE Early Level comes from Teejay s 5/14 Booklets A1-A12, and is supported and consolidated by our 360 page Support Pack. TeeJay suggests that it would be preferable to progress though the book (in the order of your choice) and use this document as a checklist to make sure that the work of CfE has been covered. At the end of each Booklet of the book is a I Can Do This assessment. These could be used as diagnostic tools either before starting or after completing a topic. The booklets can be supplemented using our 360 page Support Pack which provides support, homework and assessment materials to mirror the work done in class. The course is also supplemented and supported by TeeJay s CfE Early Level Assessment/Diagnostics Pack. (Assessments are listed in purple). Where a topic is marked Teejay to produce and post free on web-site, you will find the unit marked Early Level Supplementary Unit on the CfE section of our site. Topics listed under CfE which are not present in our Level A course will be developed. These Topics are shown in blue and will be produced as a free dowmload Unit 14.

TeeJay Publishers Progression Here is TeeJay s updated interpretation of how pupils might progress from Primary to Secondary. We imagine there will be 6 fairly distinct groups, as shown in the table below. Check www.teejaypublishers.co.uk for updates of this progress chart in light of any new information about the Level criteria. This is likely to be superceded by secondary schools tackling National 4 or 5.
