Approval of Minutes from the November 3, 2010 Meeting The Board reviewed the draft minutes from the November 3, 2010 meeting. Moved by T. Amelio, seconded by E. Pudlo, the minutes were approved as read. B. Approval of 2011 Class Y Liquor License for Panino s The Board reviewed the application for Panino s Pizzeria (Y, 126). Moved by T. Amelio, seconded by D. Zwolinski, the Board recommended that the Liquor Commissioner grant a Class Y liquor license to Panino s Pizzeria. C. Liquor License Renewals for 2011 The Board reviewed the renewal applications for 2011. The Board reviewed the renewal application for the Park Ridge Country Club (A, 1). The application was complete. Moved by T. Amelio, seconded by D. Zwolinski, the Board recommended that the Liquor Commissioner grant a Class A liquor license to the Park Ridge County Club. The Board reviewed the renewal application for PK Restaurant, Inc. (Pickwick Restaurant) (B, 25; J, 83). The application was missing one BASSET certificate and the insurance certificate listing the City of Park Ridge as an additional insured. The Board recommended approval subject to receipt of the missing items. Moved by E. Pudlo, seconded by T. Amelio, the Board recommended that the Liquor Commissioner grant a Class B liquor license to PK Restaurant, Inc. Moved by E. Pudlo,

The Board reviewed the renewal application for Maki Sushi and Noodle Shop, Inc. (B-1, 66; J, 75). The Board requested that the City of Park Ridge be listed as an additional insured on the insurance certificate. The Board recommended approval subject to receipt of the missing item. Moved by D. Pudlo, the Board recommended that the Liquor Commissioner grant a Class E2 liquor license to Bond Drug Company of Illinois I, LLC. The Board reviewed the renewal application for T/H Grocery Stores, Inc. (Morningfield s) (G, 125). The application is missing one BASSET certificate. The Board recommended approval subject to receipt of the missing item. Moved by T. Amelio, seconded by D. Zwolinski, the Board recommended that the Liquor Commissioner grant a Class G liquor license to T/H Grocery Stores, Inc. The Board reviewed the renewal application for The Perfect Dinner, LLC. (G, 115). The application is missing a Certificate of Good Standing from the State of Illinois, a corporate charter, and valid payment. The Board recommended approval subject to receipt of the missing items and advice of City Attorney. Moved by T. Amelio, seconded by D. Zwolinski, the Board recommended that the Liquor Commissioner grant a Class G liquor license to The Perfect Dinner, LLC. The Board reviewed the renewal application for Trader Joe s East, Inc. (G, 87). The application was complete. Moved by E. Pudlo, seconded by T. Amelio, the Board recommended that the Liquor Commissioner grant a Class G liquor license to Trader Joe s East Inc. The Board reviewed the renewal application for Rita s on the Run. (I, 80). The Board requested staff get further clarification regarding the business and discuss possible modification to the Class I language. The Board asked that this information be brought back to the next meeting for approval. The Board reviewed the renewal application for TD Bell Corporation (WineStyles) (L, 96) and the new application for TD Bell Corporation (I-PR _). The application is missing payment of the 4

application and license fees. The Board recommended approval subject to receipt of the missing items. Moved by T. Amelio, seconded by E. Pudlo, the Board recommended that the Liquor Commissioner grant a Class E liquor license to TD Bell Corporation. The Board denied the application for a Class I-PR liquor license, as it does not meet the requirements. Action: Place on the next City Council agenda for approval. IV. DISCUSSION ITEMS A. Discussion of proposal from Panino s to include beer as part of Class Y license Panino s has requested that beer be included as part of the Class Y liquor license. After discussion, the Board was in favor of considering this modification to the ordinance. Staff to bring back revised ordinance language for Board consideration. B. Class E license discuss allowing wine tasting as part of this license Dominick s Finer Foods, LLC requested that wine tastings be allowed as part of the Class E liquor license. After discussion, the Board was in favor of considering this modification to the ordinance. Staff to bring back revised ordinance language for Board s consideration. C. Class I license discuss requirement to serve food Rita s on the Run is the only establishment in the City with a Class I liquor license. The requirement to serve food needs to be clarified. After discussion, the Board was in favor of recommending a modification to the ordinance that the Class I liquor license require in conjunction with the service of food. V. ADMINISTRATION REPORT VI.
