You look through all your PS1, PS2, PSP and your GBA games with still nothing. In desperation you turn on your PC hoping something might be on the Internet to point in you in the right direction. Well, look no further, because the Internet is your lifeline to freedom from boredom! Trickster is the online game for you! Before you say, Online games are too expensive. Let me tell you that this game is free, absolutely FREE. This game will provide endless fun as you select your character and set off to find the ultimate treasure. Unlike many online games where there is a set storyline, this one is free-for-all game play. You determine who your character is, what you do, and where you go. There are eight characters total; four boys, four girls, and each one has his own unique ability that reflects his personality. You can personalize your character to the tiniest detail. You can choose his hair color and his clothes! As you play this game, you will be fascinated by the things you can do in it. You can level your character up with monster quests, item quests, and even band together with other trickster players for an extra experience boost. You can dig for rare items in hopes of finding the Ultimate Treasure, or you can design your own character s house, make a chat room, participate in the holiday and festive events, and put on a play with your buddies. You can even buy and sell in-game items! (Using in-game money of course) There is something for everyone in this game; all you have to do is look. As with every game there are a few problems, but with this one, they are very minor. The problem with this game is it s too popular!! Almost everyone wants to play it so you have to be patient logging in if you have a slower computer. Don t worry about not getting in though, because there are two servers, plus five sub servers to choose from. You ll definitely get in on one of them. Unlike the other online games that are just a waste of time, this game can actually be educational! How? you may ask, because it s entirely in Japanese! There are a few words and phrases in English, but the scarcity of English makes it the perfect study time for any student of Japanese. Just install the Japanese support software, and then you ll be ready to go! You can practice those phrases you learned and maybe even pick up a few. The more you read the language and use it, the better you will become. Besides, the game is so fun you won t even realize you re learning. Next time you re bored, just log into www.trickster.jp and have a blast as you charade as your character and interact with other fun loving people like yourself. Runescape Why do people play? By タクシド (Tux) The Free version has many of the standard and some not so standard features of an online game. You can fight monsters, Player vs. Player (PvP) in a certain area, mine ore to smith armor and weapons, fish and cook for food, craft pots and cut diamonds, and participate in game events like quests. The Member version has all the Free features as well as an arena to duel and PvP in, smith better armor, fish better and cook more food, steal, farm your own crops, and you name it. While the Free version may seem like it has a lot to offer, the game is really heavily tailored to the Member version. The Free players can only use the central island to play in while the Member has a huge map and many islands to choose from. Free players have a limited number of quests they can complete while Members quests are added monthly. Free players have basic armor to choose from, Members can deck themselves out in flashy cheater armor and weapons as well as obtain special attack skills and magic; all added monthly. To add insult to injury, Members get to play mini-games: Checkers, Capture the Flag, and more. If you are a Member, great, you have a wonderful new world to discover for a reasonable price, but if you are playing for free, do not expect any support or sympathy from Jagex when, someone violates the in-game courtesy rules. They, of course, give Members priority. Despite these apparent flaws, it still has one of the most players for a free isometric online game. Is this enough?
