Fine Feathered Quilts Theme: Entries are quilts that speak to the theme of Princess Feather and/or Feathered Star quilts. Quilters have long associated feathers with the 19th and 20th Centuries. Modern sewing methods and machines, make quick work of these two cherished designs. A selection of Feathered Star and Princess Feather quilts will make a powerful statement as an exhibit at International Quilt Festival, Houston and as a book whose profit will be donated to the Texas Quilt Museum. We are interested in sharing antique, or modern, newly made, inherited, bought, etc., with any techniques piecing, appliqué, embroidery, photo transfer, whole cloth and/or manipulated fabric, etc. may be used if they are appropriate for the quilt and the theme. Digital photography is very important. Please make sure you are photographing on/against a wall. DO NOT SEND IMAGES OF QUILTS ON BEDS OR DRAPED OVER FURNITURE. Good photography is necessary to be included in the book since we will not re-photograph the quilts.
