XYLEXPO: YOUR WORLD This year, Xylexpo will reach a milestone that not so many trade fairs can boast: 50 years of history. An important anniversary for an event that keeps attracting visitors despite the extremely difficult situation for the global economy in the past years. The 26 th edition of the event will provide the opportunity for major international technology producers to showcase their innovations to important Italian and international operators. Xylexpo 2018 will take place from 8 to 12 May 2018 in Milan at fieramilano, Rho fairgrounds. The 2016 edition was attended by 443 exhibitors 122 of which were international and covered a surface of 30,000 m 2 : leading companies from every technological sector, including primary wood processing, solid wood processing, panels and composites, surface finishing, tools, accessories, paints, hardware, and semifinished products for furniture attended the event. According to a survey conducted after the trade fair, 86% of the interviewed exhibitors has stated to be satisfied with the number of visitors and the event organisation. Almost 88% was happy with the quality of the operators involved.

These achievements wouldn t have been possible without the work of the organisers, who have implemented a series of promotional initiatives also through world branch networks, attended major industry exhibitions, organised press campaigns in Italy and abroad, carried out intense activities on social media, issued periodic newsletters, and constantly updated the website www.xylexpo.com. Among the trade fairs included in the enhancement plan of the Italian trade fair system, Xylexpo has the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) for the promotion and internationalisation of companies, and is under the patronage of Acimall and Eumabois, the Italian Association and European Federation of woodworking machinery and tool manufacturers, respectively. Who are Xylexpo s visitors? Furniture makers, furniture component manufacturers, sawmill owners, carpenters, door and window manufacturers, and companies specialised in finishing surfaces. In other words, all those who process wood and its derivatives, as well as technology importers, salesmen, and distributors of raw materials, artisans, and woodworkers, schools, architects, industry players, and many more categories. In fact, along with the use of new materials and machinery that do not strictly fall within the traditional wood segment, the presence of companies that process plastic, composites, glass, aluminium, etc. is increasing considerably.

XYLEXPO: YOUR SHOW Xylexpo 2018 will take place in halls 1,2,3 and 4 at fieramilano Rho fairgrounds. An excellent location at the centre of one of the largest markets in the world, which is easy to reach by subway and very well connected to motorways, railways, and airports. Xylexpo provides its exhibitors with an extremely rational organisation, which will facilitate stand assembly and disassembly stages. International visitors will enjoy a compact layout, easy to visit, thanks to the functionality of the Milan-based trade fair centre. Halls are organised by product sectors.
