Meet the Professionals Mary C. Agnew, CFP Senior Vice President Wealth Management Financial Advisor Senior Portfolio Manager Mary has focused her extensive 27- year career on comprehensive wealth management for families, corporations and foundations. She has developed a high degree of competency as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER since 1987 and achieved President s Council at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney for every year since 1985. She is also a member of the Financial Planning Association. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, magna cum laude, and holds a Series 7 license for NYSE/NASD General Securities, Life Insurance and Annuities licenses, and a Series 65 license for Investment Advisory Agent. Mary is an avid reader and a civic volunteer with an optimistic view of life, and she values the opportunity to make a positive difference in people s lives. Her favorite hobby is competitive amateur ballroom dancing. A lifetime resident of Washington, she lives on Fox Island with her husband. He focuses his wealth management knowledge and experience in financial planning, asset allocation strategies and various portfolio management platforms. In 1997, Rick started providing comprehensive planning and wealth management to high-net-worth clients. In 2001 Rick joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Rick is a member of the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney President s Council and achieved the title and designation of Portfolio Management Director in 2006. Rick earned his Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance, Economics and Accounting from Washington State University in 1988. He holds a Series 7 for NYSE/NASD General Securities, a Series 31 for Managed Futures, a Series 66 for Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam and Investment Advisory Agent, and Life Insurance and Long-Term Care Insurance licenses. Rick lives on Fox Island with his wife and daughter. He enjoys golfing, skiing, boating, fishing, reading and travel. He is active in his church and is on the Task Force to build a Family YMCA in Gig Harbor. John joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2006 and is a vital member of the Evergreen Harbor Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He uses his technical and financial knowledge to help provide comprehensive wealth management strategies for high-net-worth families and businesses. With enthusiasm and energy, John creates custom-tailored financial plans and implements investment solutions on behalf of his clients. An alumnus of The University of Portland, John earned a Bachelor s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He holds a Series 7 for General Securities License, a Series 66 for Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam and Investment Advisory Agent, as well as State Life Insurance and Disability. John is a native of Bremerton, where he currently resides. He can often be seen running and cycling the back roads of Kitsap and Pierce counties and recently began participating in 10K and half marathon races. He is an active member of Gig Harbor Rotary, the Gig Harbor YMCA, The Bremerton Trap and Skeet Club, and a volunteer with the Kitsap Economic Development Alliance. Alana joined a Morgan Stanley Smith Barney predecessor in May of 1985. Over the course of the following years, she worked in every aspect of operations serving as Wire Operator, Cashier, Assistant Operations Manager and Branch Manager s Assistant. She holds a Series 7 license for NYSE/NASD General Securities, Series 63 - Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam, and Series 9 and Series 10 for General Securities. Alana joined the team in August of 2001 and functions in a client-service and administrative capacity. Our clients enjoy interacting with Alana because of her efficiency in dealing with administrative issues. Alana and her husband have been members of the Eatonville community for over 25 years.
