MAMPRE R. POMAKIAN EXECUTIVE BIOGRAPHY Mampre Pomak:ian currently serves as an Associate General CotJill;el with the Office of. General Counsel for the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest school district in the nation. He represents the School District in various employment actions, charter school related litigation, and writs and appeals. During his tenure with LAUSD, Mr. Pomakian has successfully represented and defended the School District in a number of high profile lawsuits initiated by United Teachers Los Angeles. Prior to joining LAUSD, Mr. Pomakian served as an associate with the firm of McCune & Harber, where he had the opportunity to represent numerous school districts throughout Southern California in general liability, education law and special education matters. Mr. Pomakian also represented municipalities in a variety of general liability inatters. Throughout his career, Mr. Pomakian has successfully represented fort;une 500 companies such as Costco Wholesale, 7-Eleven, Home Depot, AIG and Autozone in a variety of litigation matters. He has handled numerous jury and bench trials and binding arbitrations to verdict or final conclusion. Mr. Pomak:ian received his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Northridge in 1995 and his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in 1998. Prior to embarking on his legal career, Mr. Pomakian served as an intern for the Honorable Dikran Tevrizian (Retired), Federal District Court for the Central District of California.
