The Seiler Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Physicians and medical professionals deal with many of the same financial issues as other affluent people defining their goals, investing for their future, saving for retirement, planning for education expenses, and so on. However, there are other concerns specific to them the financial issues involved in running a practice, for example, which require both an entrepreneurial mindset and specific expertise. Retirement planning may also be different for medical professionals, since they often provide retirement plans for their practices. Meet the Professionals Thomas A. Seiler Senior Investment Consultant Managing Director - Wealth Management Clockwise from top: Ryan Wayne, Nicole Morawski, Patrick Seiler, Thomas Seiler, Terri Schafer As a founding member of The Seiler Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Mr. Seiler has focused on meeting the sophisticated needs of today s institutional investors since 1995. He began his career in 1990 with Merrill Lynch, concentrating on high net worth clients. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, Tom concentrates on highly developed asset allocation and investment strategies, conducts extensive research and evaluation on investment management firms, forms comprehensive investment policy statements and provides ongoing performance measurement and monitoring for client portfolios. A graduate of Montclair University, Mr. Seiler is designated a Corporate Retirement Director at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and honored member of the Business Owner Executive Counsel. Tom has served as an NFLPA Financial Advisor since 2003. Mr. Seiler currently lives in Newtown, PA with his wife, Debbie, and two children, Alexa and Jake. Philanthropy award for Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey. An active tri-athlete, you may see Tom training or sharing notes with some of the groups NFL players on the best conditioning techniques in preparing for upcoming races. Patrick M. Seiler, CFP, CIMA Senior Investment Consultant Second Vice President Patrick works with institutional clients (corporations, pension and profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, and foundations), and also provides comprehensive planning to private high net worth individuals and families. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Patrick received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corp and served with the San Diego Police Department. He then began his career in the financial industry in 1995 with A. G. Edwards, later working with Merrill Lynch. Then, in 2005, he joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Already a Certified Financial Planner (CFP ) practitioner, Patrick has also earned the prestigious designations of Certified Investment Management Analyst SM (CIMA ) from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, Chartered Retirement Planning Specialist SM (CRPS ) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor SM (CRPC ). Patrick is also a member of the Marine Corp League, Doylestown Free Masons, NJ State Law Enforcement Officers Association, Elks Club, American Legion, Investment Management Consultants Association and Bucks Business Alliance. Ryan T. Wayne Consulting Group Analyst Nicole A. Morawski Senior Registered Associate Terri L. Schafer Client Service Associate With more than 15 years of experience in financial services, Ryan works with foundations, institutions, and high net worth individuals. He holds a dual Bachelor s degree in Economics and Finance from Susquehanna University and earned his MBA in Finance from Drexel University. Ryan s strong analytical skills provide clients with daily guidance on both market analysis and economic trends. His primary focus is monitoring private client financial plans and their investment policies and statements. Ryan s wife Lynda is an audiologist with a local practice, and the couple has a young daughter, Madilyn. He enjoys spending time with his family. Nicole began her career as a legal assistant, developing keen attention to detail and organization. She then entered the financial industry in 2000 as a compliance director at Merrill Lynch before joining The Seiler Group in 2003 as a group administrator. Today, Nicole directs administration for all our clients day-to-day needs, with a strong commitment to excellent service. An avid fan of ice hockey and motorsports, Nicole also enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Prior to joining The Seiler Group in 2009, Terri worked in the Operations Department at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, handling the overall process of the entire branch office. Terri also spent ten years in retail banking, giving her a broad background in financial services and preparing her for client service administration. Terri is responsible for all daily client administration and overall support for the group.
