While there is not a pattern i do not already have 10 times over, this is a great repository for a large number of patterns for smaller sized quilts. With a little tweakingand your own personal favorite fabrics, you can create a myriad of wall hangings or just the intended baby quilts, from simple to more complex using the patterns listed. The instructions are clear, lots of pictures of both finished quilt and block construction.for the finishing techniques, you can always go to Martingale web site for tips on binding, sleeve,anything you have a question on.a new book, and not deeply discounted as yet, but a nice addition to the quilting library. Full of good ideas and instructions for a baby quilt. This is NOT the usual 'novelty' print quilt for kids. Think "outside the box" for color combinations. If you need a BIG book of baby quilt ideas, this one will do it. Nice size squares to work with and easy to follow directions. Really good book to get ideas from and to use some of the fabric stash.some of the basic piecing is the same patterns that are usually learned early in a quilters life, but still a great book to have in the home library to get ideas from.i've not had to book too long and have already made five baby quilts from it. If you can't find a baby quilt for your next project in this wonderful book then you're not looking. The only thing I would have liked are a few more of the larger quilts. Many are very small and require
tedious stitching. But overall a great book. This is a great book! Since I purchased it, I've made 4 baby quilts and am so happy with all of them! The directions are easy to follow and there are lots of options for customization. I'd definitely recommend this book! I've also scaled up some of the quilts to make full-sized adult quilts from this book. It's fantastic! Can't wait to try out some of the quilts in here. I have a new grand baby coming in October and want to make a quilt for it. Have wanted this book since first seeing it. Waited until I found a price I could afford. Some really great patterns and LOTS of them! Beautifully done, good instructions.
