The College Game Assembly Instructions: Choose a college to research. Fill in the information on the College Information Worksheet. Then use this information to fill out the game cards for The College Game. Write answers to the questions on the Answer Cards. Print the game board in color, if possible. Cut the right side of the game board along the gray line. Glue both parts of the game board to a 18 x 12 piece of construction paper. Print and paste a picture of your college at the bottom of the game board. Glue the bottom half of this page to the back of the game board. Use a paper brad and a small paper clip to make a spinner for your game board. Bring your completed game board, game cards, and answer card, and at least three objects for use as markers (M&Ms, Skittles, Smarties, etc.) to class for presentation. How to Play The College Game: Number of Players: 2-3 1. Place the 23 game cards face down on the game board. Place the answer card face down on the table. Place a marker for each player on the space marked START. 2. Each player spins the paper clip spinner to determine who plays first. The player with the highest number goes first, the player with the second highest number goes next, and so on. 3. The first player draws a card from the deck. The first player reads the question and possible answers aloud and then states the correct answer aloud. Another player checks the Answer Card to verify the correct answer. If the answer is correct, the first player spins the paper clip spinner and moves the appropriate number of If the player lands on a box with instructions, the instructions must be followed before the next player takes his/her turn. If the answer is incorrect, the player does not spin or move his/her marker. 4. Repeat step 3 for each player. 5. The game ends when one of the three situations occur: a.) there are no more game cards b.) a player reaches the end of the game board c.) the time allotted for game play has ended 6. The winner is the first person to land on the Welcome to College space or is the player that has advanced the farthest on the game board when the game cards ran out or the time allotted for game play has ended.
